ah.. we dont have flash, and they prolly got ours setup to delay popups..
-
it would also 'hide' your host when connecting to other websites.. sort of like an anonymous web proxy..
-
our computer's here at work do the same thing.. (win2k) prolly something with our group policies tho they restrict everything..
-
The ftp server is attempting to check your identd (port 113).. most windows machines dont have that service running (unless you use irc alot..) Are you still able to upload? cuz the server should just timeout on the lookup, and continue on.. unless (which I really doubt) they have thier server setup to not allow identd connctions..

mail2web is definitly nice, it's what I used before my company blocked webmail.. I used to recommend it to our customers before we had our own webmail..
-
I like it, I installed it because my job blocks every webmail site in exsistance, and only allows port 80 to go through.. so i couldnt use the built in email clients..

403 = permission denied.

if i go to your site and put in gallery.swf i get Forbidden You don't have permission to access /gallery.swf on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. are the permissions correct on the file?
-
or if you do like i did and have a folder with permissions to allow the apache process to write to it.. (ie.. anybody) and then have a bunch of files owned by a mr nobody. and a help desk ticket fixed that

I use googles cached page feature alot.. My company blocks alot of sites, and If I need to view a site that's blocked.. I go to google and search for it, and view it's cached copy pretty slick feature if you ask me..

I must say I was quite suprised to see most of TCH still kickin yesterday during that nac.net ups failure (seems to me them ups's cause more trouble then theyre worth.. ie. setting off an entire fire supression system..) I was lookin at countless other hosts who were 'TOTALLY' offline because of that outage. it's amazing how many big hosting co's rely on 'ONE' datacenter

I actually went for a job Interview, and the person interviewing me, asked what would I do if a customer asked me a question I didn't know the answer for? I was like.. that's what they make google for.. and I got hired

and then when it's just beginning to get good.. it says 'to be concluded' hint.. watch matrix reloaded

Pair.com uses a tool called 'My Pair Account' http://www.pair.com/pair/support/mypair/tour.html for a tour
-
I cant answer for why, because I don't work for TCH. But it seems unusual.. I sent a ticket a few days ago about a server issue.. it was resolved in like 5 minutes.. I sent a request today to have them delete a folder from my home directory, and they did that within 5-10 minutes..

are you behind any company firewall? that blocks your ie from gettin to ports other then port 80?

I've been using SpyBot ever since LavaSoft decided they wanted to wait 'months' to release an update for ad-aware... SpyBot got a huge lead during that time.. I don't think I will be going back to ad-aware anytime soon..

wierd.. on server 5, when I download "todays home backup" it has the correct month on it..
