We fought the long hard battle on this one. We lost. Why did we loose? To be frank, people are lazy. Instead of checking email on two accounts they would simply set forwards to AOL. In fact, after being shutdown by our abuse team, these same people would reinstate the AOL forward just moments after we gave them access back. Silly. So we are banning all AOL Email forwards. We are busily preparing our servers to remove any AOL forwards that are in place. This will start taking effect on Tuesday. We really had no choice but to make this choice. AOL deemed all forwarded spam from the TCH accounts as spam orginating from our servers. So it was bad thing. Either we fix this or totalchoicehosting.com was going to end up on a AOL global blacklist. So we fixed it. Bill

No offense towards you or 1&1 but my take is. Is it really a free account when your spending your valuable time reloading the site and posting here about things. Free is free, but this clearly isnt free. When my furnace broke last year the repair man told me it would cost $1100 to fix it. It was 30 years old and needed replacing. So do I throw good money at bad or just bite the bullet and buy a new furnace. Maybe not a good example but goes along the same lines. It is not free if your spinning your wheels. Starting February 1, 2005 TCH will be offering hosting services on servers located in a prestigious United Kingdom Data Center! In an effort to provide our European customers with more options, any customer wishing to have their account hosted on a UK server will now has the opportunity to do so. For users whose primary audience is within Europe, this will ensure even faster links to the servers. The servers will, of course, be the same high spec and reliable machines that have become the standard at TotalChoice Hosting. We have updated the driver on Server1 and will monitor the server. Thank you Bill

This issue has popped up a couple of times before. We have found that the driver we are running for the Intel NIC card on server one is not 100% compatable with the NIC card. When the server crashed we were faced with a: :eth0: cant fill rx buffer (fore 1)! Error. We are going to move to a new driver now, and it might cause a short disruption in service to our site. updates to follow

We have no plans to offfer multi-domain hosting on virtual accounts. This has been brought up time and time again. Use the search function to find other such questions. There are reasons behind our server stability. Thread Closed

I was a loyal Trillian fan until they released 3.0 I have had nothing but problems since the upgrade. Have been a paying trillian user for some time. Well I am here to say I have dumped Trillian and have moved to GAIM. I am very pleased with its performance and have not looked back. Just wanted to vent. Bill

Nah dont worry about that. If your ticket was sent in before your 30 days your golden. We use the date stamp from the ticket to determine refunds. Bill

Since you did not mention this ticket was a Account Cancellation Request I gave you the wrong information. Account Cancellations are done on a first come, first serve basis. They are after all not "urgent" tickets. Your ticket is in the queue for Michelle to process. Your account will be cancelled once she gets to it.

What is the ticket number? Ticket response times vary but never more that 60 minutes. Most tickets are answered within a mere couple minutes.

Yup just upload the backups into your TCH account and then open a support ticket and make sure to let the tech know where you placed the backup file. We can then restore the account for you. Bill
