  7. One last comment. I now have SBC/Yahoo DSL. The service itself has been very very good. I have only contacted support twice. Each time they made me reboot my pc and router several times and finally I told the tech to forget it and would just wait for the service to come back up. Each time it came back within a few moments. Where I live now I am 30 feet from a Remote Terminal. So from the RT to the CO is all Fiber. SBC ran a special for a very short time. I signed up and got 6mbps/608kbps for $49 a month. Never looked back. Bill
  8. At my last place of residence, I used speakeasy for nearly 3 years. The uptime was excellent and I got very low latency 99.999% of the time. Support was excellent as well. Heck, they even sent me this really cool Beer Can Holder and Cooler when I signed up. Bill
  9. I HIGHLY suggest using SpeakEasy. They have pops nationwide. I have used their service and they are excellent! Bill
  10. When you sign up, in the notes area ask that your account be placed in the AZ datacenter. If we have room on those servers that will out you several thousand miles closer to home. Bill
  11. This only effects AOL at the current time Thanks Bill
  12. Drop in a support ticket, as the information being talked about on the forums is really outdated and this information should only be discussed via a secure help desk ticket. Bill
  13. Thanks for the kind words. My vacation was a Bass Fishing Trip to Florida. It was awesome! I am glad to see things are going well for your site. Bill
  14. If we host your DNS records, we would need you to open a ticket and we would modify your MX records to point to a different email server.
  15. Soccer needs more offense. Sitting for like three hours and the game ends 1-0 Yea! Bill
  16. You are 100% correct. Bill
  17. 2004 was simply an amazing year. We have grown our server farm to nearly 150 servers and our client base well exceeds 20,000 clients. Currently we are hosting nearly 33,000 domains and have clients all over the world. I am proud of my staff and the way things have progressed. It is with great joy I announce the creation of an entire new department here at TotalChoice Hosting. Effective today we will be staffing a "Client Services Division". The main focus of this new department will be Customer Service. With over 20,000 clients this was our most logical step. As you may well know, with any new department comes new employees. When we first started talking about this new division, I had made it clear that I wanted to personally oversee the department and hand pick its employees. I mean after all, the client is king. So we started the interview process. We really had to choose a Director for the department before doing much else. That was 3 months ago. Fast forward until last week. After many interviews I was fed up with the quality of the interviews. Things were just going nowhere. When you build your business on a solid foundation of employees and contractors, things just have a way of turning out good. Mike Hermon called me one morning and expressed interest in the Client Services Division. We talked a couple times, and we both came to a conclusion. Mike wanted to make a lateral move from one department to another. It was decided. Mike was going to head a new department. Bigger responsibility, more hours, bigger headaches. However, I knew he was up to the task. After all, he built a solid track record in operations. Now my job became even more difficult. Sourcing a new operations person. Once again a twist of fate. Our lead forum mod Rob, was on contract with IBM. The contract was over and he was looking for work. Rob's background was a perfect match for the operations job. Two interviews later and we had a new operations person. So it is with great pride I make the following announcement. Mike Hermon is now the TCH Client Services Director. Rob Mcilroy is taking over Mike's old position and will become the Director of Operations. Please wish them both hardy congratulations. Without these two people, TCH would not be a leader in the hosting industry. Bill
  18. No this will not effect you. This only effets email forwarders set up thru cpanel. Bill
  19. We are working out the pricing for the virtual and hosting UK plans. If your account does move from a US based server to a UK based server, there will be a slight increase in the monthly fee. We will be announcing the pricing soon. bill
  20. No it does not effect that at all. You will be golden. Bill
  21. If 26 doesnt work Gary, drop me a IM. We can figure something out for you Bill
  22. Thanks for the support! I do understand what you are saying. The biggest effect from this will be on our resellers. However, some times in business you can not always make the client happy all the time. Bill
  23. A easy fix would be to set up a yahoo or gmail type account and forward the email to that and then forward from the yahoo or gmail account to the AOL account.
  24. Currently we only have two servers blacklisted by AOL. Once this measure is put in place, I have been promised by the AOL abuse team that the two servers will be put back on the whitelist.
