  1. Hello everyone. I am here with good news. As many of you are aware we have been sold out of space in our west coast DC for some time now. I am proud to announce that we now have our own suite in the West Coast DC. We have been busy over the past several days working out agreements and sending paperwork back and forth, but that is all done. We will have enough rack locations in our suite to hold 100+ servers. We will be moving our current servers from our single rack into our suite sometime in the next 30 days. New servers are on order and should be in stock in the next several days. Just wanted to share the great news. Bill
  2. This is on your end Bill. I have just replied to your ticket once again and it clearly shows that I can max out my 'adsl' line on any of the user accounts you have provided. Bypass your router and try, that's all I can think of. Bill
  3. As we have said time and time again, the forums are not an official means of support. However, with that said I logged into your FTP account and was able to download a 5.14MB file from your account using my home 'adsl' connection. I was able to pull over 5mbps download. Tested 3 times, each time same result I would think it would be a routing issue or connectivity issue with your ISP. Here is the FTP sampling from the download session, just so there are 'no' questions. I have sent you a PM bill with the complete FTP sampling, however I have removed your username, IP, and username on the forums to protect your identity. Also, I have accented the download speeds in the FTP sampling. Resolving host name *******... 4. On Saturday 2/19/2005 TotalChoice Hosting will be performing a major upgrade to our internal infrastructure that supports totalchoicehosting.com, tchhelp.com, help desk, order processing, our billing software and all areas that effect our website. This upgrade will require 1 hour of service interruption for the above listed amenities. We are scheduling the following maintenance window: Saturday 2/19/2005 between 3AM and 7AM EST. During this window you may experience connectivity issues to our web site. This may last for only a few moments or may last thru-out the maintenance window. We will be communicating with our clients during this time frame thru our status page. It can be found at tchstatus.com. We will make up to the minute updates there. Also, during the maintenance window, if you are unable to connect to our website for support, we will be available for technical support. Once this upgrade is complete we will be ready to support our growing client base for the upcoming years. Thank you for your support during our growth. Bill
  5. I have notified the queen of billing. She will contact you directly.
  6. Thank you both. We have solved the issue at RoadRunner. Thanks again. Bill
  7. I need some help with a DNS issue effecting a customer on RoadRunner. If there are any Road Runner ISP clients here please post tracert to our server. server1.totalchoicehosting.com and server20.totalchoicehosting.com Thanks!
  8. Yea but look at just "web hosting". Bill
  9. *TCH-Dick wonders what was in that e-mail ?
  10. Xandros is a good step from windows. Easy install and some good cross functionality between Windows and Linux. Can I ask what version of Windows you are running and what kind of problems your having. Bill
  11. How about a URL for us to take a peak, or IM on of the technicians online. Bill
  12. PS: If you can not afford to purchase the new MT, than move to a FREE open source product. Bill
  13. Please submit a help desk ticket.
  14. You need to upgrade your MT installation. Many security issues with older version.
  15. Abdul rocks
  16. If your not actively using phpbb you should delete the dB and the folder for it. We actaully found a phpbb install on the TotalChoice Hosting main server that we had used for testing. We simply deleted the dB and the folder for it. Technically we never really did support phpbb. It was simply a add-on script offered by cPanel. Bill
  17. The biggest issue we are facing right now is this. As many of you know there was a worm released that attacked the phpbb forums. When the worm was in the wild it would attempt sql injections. This took advantage of some bad code in PHP. We upgraded PHP instantly and pushed out a fix for all the boards. However, now we are seeing the worm still attacking sites. Although the exploit isn't working the worm is still attacking sites thru Google searches. We simply are pleading with clients to upgrade their phpbb installations. We have been taking action on a case by case basis, however it has become so widespread that we need to take this action. I can not give you details on each and every one of your installs, I am sorry. I can only tell you that we are trying our best to deal with this. My first suggestion to everyone would be a migration to a new forum system. We are using 'IPB' on the TotalChoice Hosting forums and have been very pleased with its performance. As many of you might be aware, the phpbb web site was completely defaced and their server hacked. Whilst this may not be directly due to phpbb, in fact they have claimed it was to do with Awstats (we have already upgraded) it would behoove me to continue to support their software. This of course is just my personal view. Please understand that phpbb is 3rd party software and we have no control over it. It is has come to a point where we must take some sort of action on this issue. Bill
  18. They may have been disrupted when cPanel updates are running. I just peaked into your account and all the Cron Jobs are in fact there. At times cron jobs will be set aside to lower server loads, it really isnt anything to worry about. As you stated the cron job's are back and things are back to months and months of reliability. Bill
  19. UK Pricing and availability announced. http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...=0entry113555
  20. I am proud to announce pricing on our new "UK" DataCentre based hosting accounts. At this time we will not be including any additional fee's for customers wanting to be hosted on our "UK" servers. NO PRICE INCREASE!!!! If your on a current USA based server and would like to move to our UK based servers simply drop us a help desk ticket we will move your accounts to our new "UK" servers. All of our "UK" servers are using our new DNS3 and DNS4 name servers, so if you're an exsisting customer using the older name servers you will need to change your DNS. So there it is, the big announcement in our "UK" pricing. Effective today we will start placing accounts onto our "UK" servers. Bill
  21. Nice chatting with you on the telephone. Issue solved. Bill
  22. Drop me a call at the office. Just ask for Bill, if no answer leave a message I will call you right back. Bill
  23. Natimage, Related to 27 and its firewall was your ticket?
  24. Paul. I saw your ticket in the Help Desk. I checked all your sites from two separate connections and they both loaded with out issue. I assume our firewall banned your IP for excessive connections or perhaps your work IT department did the same. Bill
