wampthing 0
Some times when I speak with my friends they are supprised to hear how many domain names I have. I can understand their reaction as most people dont work with websites. I am curious however to see how many domain names the average TCH user has. How many domains do have registered to you? Madmanmcp 0
Ok, as in other things, you take the high and low number out and average the rest. So take my 1 and thow it away so it doesn't sway the results
TCH-Bruce 16
Also, just curious Thomas, how hot is it in Sweden? See this thread for the answer, now keep the thread ON TOPIC.

wampthing 0
So... Tell me this. I was messing around on GoDaddy.com and found a domain that I thought was cool. AboutMe.com (my favorite subject) I wouldnt have thought that it was available, even though it showed it was, but went and purchased it anyway. I have a receipt for it, but when I go to whois, it looks like it has been registered for a long time to someone else. I havent recieved an email from godaddy explaining that there was an error, but it still doesnt show up in my list of domains. Has anyone heard of something like this? I assume that my money will be returned once they find out what they did.
TCH-Don 0
From whois.sc Domain Status Message:The sponsoring registrar has put a hold on this domain. The domain can be renewed by the registrar. The domain is not available for registration at this time. So I bet you will get a message from Godaddy about that.
wampthing 0
Yup, GoDaddy came back and said that It was unavailable and that I would be refunded soon. Go Figure.
TCH-Thomas 25
Dave, If you really want a 24th domain, I see that crazyuncledave.net is available (com is taken).

Just_Rob 0
16 Dave, I have seen where the registration server cant connect to the regisrty to validate the name as being taken or available so it will give it to you until it can verify if it is or isn't available. This way if it is available then someone else can't get to it when they can talk to each other again.

TCH-Bruce 16
Give Instant Domain Search a try. It's written in Ajax and supposed to show in real time whether the .com, .net, and .org domain names are available.

wampthing 0
Interestingly enough, that programs showed aboutme.com available as well. I would imagine it is a problem connecting to the registry like justrob said. Cool site though.
