  7. Hi, Create a folder. Password manange it in CPANEL. Then remove the index file from it and remove index manager using CPANEL for this folder. Then create the users in the password manager. Bingo. You then have a folder which is protected via passwords and they can see the folders only. Remember it will eat up your bandwidth as ftp is included within it Jim

  12. Hi, Under CPANEL there is a IP deny link, click on it and enter the IP number. Remember if its on a dial up, the IP banning will be pointless, and if someone wants to visit your site with the IP address, they wont be able too. You can use * instead of numbers, but that may lead to major problems so be careful Jim

  16. Teleport pro is nearly impossible to block because it litterally acts like a browser and immates a robot. The best way to do this is to use an IP block if its occurs again Jim
  17. Rick means CPU utilization. Every site uses a small % of the cpu cycle. If too much is being used, the account gets taken offline as above. Bandwidth and webspace are limted by your account Jim
  18. You can always access the database remotely remember using Dreamweaver etc. Jim

Failing that, enter in an explict address (yours) If you want to check this before letting it loose, create another mail list and a few email addresses and try it out Jim

  24. Hi, Its a common problem with OE. Even microsoft admit they don't know why it does it for. Anyhow, a few possible solutions: 1) Reinstall OE 6 2) Use another mail program 3) Send email via your ISPs/Companys SMTP server. Jim
