That was fun, could be interesting. I think a headset is best, there is a bit of feedback on the mic/speaker setup. Works pretty good over cable.

Well, unless that steak has spinal or brain content you should be fine, now if it were ground beef or sausage where you never know what you're gonna get then that may be another story. And unless those sheep we were feeding to his cows were infected with scrapie there should be no issue.

vangrieg, Yes it is installed on all servers. Let me know if we can be of further assistance.

failed I think I did poorly in every English class I have taken.

vangrieg, They are off-site, done remotely. You still want to have a back-up of your own though.

OK, I am starting to understand it. Now I can see the gallery when not logged in. There are permissions all over the place for this.

Liz, I got it installed, I dont know what to do from there. I removed the folder on my account space and uploaded the file tikiwiki-1.7.4.tar.gz. I unpacked it, created the database and ren the sql and it worked. I did the exact same thing with the .zip file and got errors. So you may want to try it with the tar.gz file instead. You can see it here http://www.reservoirblogs.com/wiki/tiki/tiki-index.php I created in inage gallery but I dont know how to get it to show yet. If I log out I can't see it. I have no idea what I am doing with it yet.

Mitch, I wish you the best man. You will be missed. Good luck to you. Thumbs Up

Well, lets explain the transfer process in a bit of detail. As soon as you request a transfer to us the administrative contact should start getting email asking them to confirm the transfer by clicking a link. This link should log you into your account you created when you initiated the transfer to approve it. Once this is done notification is sent to your old registrar that you are requesting a transfer. A couple of days later the administrative contact will get an email from the losing registrar asking them to approve the transfer. You have 72 hours to respond or this expires and it has to be resent. Once done, about 24 hours later, the administrative contact should get confirmation that the transfer is being approved. The registry is then notified that the change is taking place and you get your domain here. Please keep in mind, the email from "secure server" is not from us but from the registrar we use. I can not see exactly where in the transfer process you are but it sounds like the first step is done and your admin contact is waiting on the email from the losing registrar.

After a fight I was able to get it installed, worst 30 minutes of the day. My first problem was trying to install from a zip file and not a tar.gz. I uploaded the entire tar.gz, unpacked it, created my db and ran the query and then edited the tiki-db.php file. I still don't know what it is supposed to be, it reminds me of nuke or maybe a 3 column MT.

Virtual, I was here, they were parking the planes on 4X8's of plywood because they were sinking into the tarmac. What a great day that was.
-
I am in Phoenix, Virtual I don't think is too far from me. I have not seen snow since '88. Well I have seen it but haven't come in contact with it. What I like about it here is that the winters are mild yet if I want snow I can have it in a short drive up the road. The bad part, summers. And I don't want to hear all the folks back east tell me "But it's a dry heat". I lived in Louisiana and I know all about what you have to "endure". Give yourself a few summers here, maybe my 14 here are getting to me, and you will understand. By the way, whats a snowblower?

Hey Rick, The $44 Starter Plan is just for the hosting. Domain names are separate from that price. Still a deal at 10.95 a year. Let me know if you have more questions.
-
I have the starter plan myself. I will come close to the alloted space amount I think within the next few weeks but the bandwidth is more than enough at the present time. You would be surprised at how far 5.5 gigs will go. Since it is for personal tasks and not so much to have a million visitors you should be fine with the starter.

You can try the instructions here, www.thesitewizard.com/archive/php4install.shtml I do not run it personally on my local machine but others here do so they may have some suggestions as well.
-
Mike is correct. I use it as well and you can find good documentation at wiki.oscommerce.com as well.

Cant you do this $font_file = $_SERVER[DOCUMENT_ROOT]."/Therfont.ttf"; That isnt a font everybody has but I am using it in my sig file, I can see it and it isnt installed on my computer.

I am not a fan of submitting. If you have inbound links and you have links on your site to all of your other pages in one way or another then Google should find it on the next pass. That said, if you absolutely, positively have to have it there overnight, then submit again. Just remember, Google even states it isn't necessary to keep submitting even after changes are made. And there is no guarantee that it will get things updated any faster if you do.

Glad you decided to stay. Welcome to the family.
