Hi Rowan, Welcome to the family If you want to point it to the same files as one of your other accounts, I would just set the DNS to our nameservers, and get us to park it for you (via the help desk). If you want it to go to different files, you need an additional hosting account - or a reseller account.

Hi Steve, You seem to have it all sorted Purchase a hosting account here (the starter plan sounds reasonable - and you can always upgrade if needed). This can either be done by you, or your director (who can provide your details for communication - yes). Upload the account using FTP or Dreamweaver and (as you say) the IP address Set up your email accounts here in cpanel. Check your site looks OK, using the IP address Log into your registrar (tucows) and change the DNS to our nameservers During propagation check your email at both hosts (using the IP address). Alternatively you can forward all emails to your earthlink email address as you suggest. Check your stats on the old site (using the IP address) to monitor visitors (you are correct in that some vistors will see your old site, and some your new during propagation) Once visitors to the old site have stopped - you can say bye-bye to that host. If you want to transfer the domain name - do that at the end, once everything else is completed - but you don't have to. I think that has caught all your questions - but if I've missed one, please let me know

If you don't use FrontPage to generate part of your site, you will be fine. The FrontPage extensions are installed by default. By the sound of your site, you don't need the FP extensions. You need to backup every .htaccess that has any changes in it - I would guess in your case, that is only the one in the public_html directory, but I would quickly check the others before uninstalling the extensions.

During propagation of your domain name (changing from the old site to the new) some email will go to your old host, and some to the new one here. During that time I would check the email in both places using the IP address rather than the domain name. That way you won't miss any of the emails. 3. Hi, The key thing to remember is that the login for your domain registration (secureserver) is different from login to your accounts (cpanel) which is also different from the login for your Billing Information. As Michelle looks after our Billing information, I'd be fairly sure she has not given you the login information for your domain registration. OK, I have found your ticket - and yes, the reply was to the incorrect ticket. When I just did a search, I came up with the correct ticket - which showed a semi-dedicated server. BoB is correct - a mess up on our part - sorry

You would need to give me a ticket number - but looking at the information I can see, you have a semi-dedicated account - which is basically a large reseller account. You can create accounts in there using WHM (the Web Host Manager) correct?

Hi, I will move this to reseller hosting shortly... All packages under reseller accounts have the reseller username at the front. Hence dermoce will be the reseller name, and then the package you have defined "estetica" is appended after the username - to create a package defined by "dermoce_estetica" Hence it will not appear in Google anywhere - because it is a package you have created under your reseller account - and probably doesn't exist anywhere else. You need to login to your WHM and increase the space on that package.

Please submit a ticket to the help desk - that is monitored 24/7 and they can then sort out the issues. I would normally start with a check if I could see the server, check the status on the TCH monitoring page, and check routing between myself and the server. Alternatively - just submit a ticket

An email is sent at 80% to the contact email address set up in cpanel. If the email address there is incorrect, or you have spam filters on it, then you may miss that automatic email. Otherwise, you should recieve warning.

Hi, It depends which operating system you are using. In windows, generally, right click on the A: drive in File Manager (or my computer) and select format - at the bottom there should be a tick box for quick format. From the c:> prompt then it would generally be "format a: /q"

I would do a Quick format on each one - this will erase all the data, and format it fairly quickly.

Where are you trying to type /home/whimsic/public_html/catalog for the root directory?

For the root directory in the catalog try /home/whimsic/public_html/catalog You will need to set up a redirect if you want people to go straight to your catalog. You can do this from within cpanel.
