  1. Hi Karla, Welcome to our forums. Have you any experience of web page development ? Tell us a little about yourself and capabilities (what software have you used etc) so that we know what level to aim our comments at.

  3. Take care Jason Best wishes
  4. So that I have a correct understanding of what you require; You want links to youraccount.com to be all sent to main.youraccount.com and leave sub1.youraccount.com and sub2.youraccoun2.com functioning normally. Is that correct ?
  5. Hi gpratomo, welcome to our forums The simple answer of course is that you will have to upload it (via FTP) into the cgi-bin directory if the host will not allow it outside of that directory. I suspect that the program will use ports that the host has blocked though, so even if you upload it, it will not function correctly. You really need to talk through it with your current host.
  6. You will need to open a support ticket, and ask us to edit the MX records for you. Please include the details from google apps, so we know what it needs editing to.
  7. Welcome to the forums Jon

  12. Welcome to the team Mike, it's great to have you aboard
  13. I think you have set the same user for several different databases. You have modified the password for that user, and hence you will need to modify the password in the admin/config.inc.php and update it to the new one.
  14. Welcome to the forums nightshade Most are of the forums will do the bulk of what you want to do (whenever you create a post, or update a thread, you can set the forum up to email them all). However, forums are generally not updated by emails, so you will not be able to get their email replies automatically added to the thread in a standard forum. Some of the CMS (content management systems) allow this. Unless anyone else has any good ideas of a forum that will do it all.
  15. Which server are you on - I've just checked down 20 at random - and all were set correctly to GMT-5
  16. It usually means an insecure script, or spamming or something. You will be emailed if this occurs (which is what has happened in your case). You need to follow it up through the help desk, and please give them a little while to complete their investigations, so it isn't as quick as the tech support help desk where we would usually get everything dealt within in under 30 mins.
  17. getcwd is not a module available on the server. I did try $ENV{"PWD"} though - and that seemed to work.
  18. Hi Flamey, I don't think you can in perl, I think you need to tell it the directory you want it writing to.
  19. You're welcome - I'll see what I can do about getting some of the later data over.
  20. Sorry to hear about the loss Jason.
  21. Please have a look at your forum now - I think everything has moved over OK.
  22. There aren't any open tickets in L1 tech support - so I'm guessing it's closed. I would reopen it and ask for an update - or PM me the ticket ref, and I'll take a look.
  23. If you have a backup from before the hack - try using that one to restore from.
  24. I'm glad you got it sorted To help you in the future, I'd suggest you have a look at the Backup FAQ and set up an automatic daily backup of your mysql - that way you will always have a copy. (apart from the short time of any posts of course made on the day, but before the backup time)
  25. Hi John, The short answer is no, it can't be easily modified to run on the servers.
