  1. yes and yes
  2. 51 secs first go - but I'm sure I could do faster when I don't have to spend the first bit trying to work out what to do
  3. I don't think it has anything to do with the SSL. Looking at the files, I suspect that you have added some blocking to your .htaccess (probably to prevent hotlinking) and blocked access to image files. Try renaming the .htaccess briefly, and see if that cures the problem - if so, then at least you know what the issue is.
  4. Hi Jacques, It's usually just because you have a reference wrong somewhere. Can you give us a link to check ?
  5. If you want large amounts of bandwidth - open a ticket at the help desk - there is always a discount for bulk It's easier to talk about the specifics of your requirements that way.
  6. That depends which plan you are on, and how much more bandwidth you need. Generally it's USD2.50 per GB of bandwidth.
  7. If you get close to your bandwidth limit, open a ticket and let us know if you want to purchase some more.
  8. Many outgoing ports are blocked by the firewall on the server - yes. Open a ticket at the help desk if you need a specific port opened - and we'll see what we can do.
  9. Thanks John Merry Christmas to one and all
  10. Yes, we have it worked out - it was a cpanel update that was changing some of the set-up parameters. Cpanel are also correcting the issue in their next updates.
  11. Hi Dan, Have a look at http://www.websiteoptimization.com/services/analyze/index.html it looks like your biggest problem is the number of images.
  12. I'd have a look at training spamassasin and then you will help spam assassin learn on your account.
  13. from memory, you need to tell it the name of the database (it doesn't just scan and tell you a list of all in some software). Once you have told it the name of the database - it should list the tables fine. It's not my area of expertise - someone else might be along who can help. If not, PM me, and if you can set up a user for me - I'll test.
  14. There is a bug in sqmail - we are looking into it. The data is generally still there - you can check it by logging into Horde - just sqmail is not seeing the folders properly. Open a ticket and we'll have a look at it, give us a little while to sort out the bug fix though
  15. You will also need to enable remote connections to your databases (you do that in the mySQL section of cpanel).
  16. Hi, The username and password is the one you created for it in cpanel, and added as a user to that database. Have you tried that one
  17. It is deleted "upon successful log out of a pop3 session.". So, if you have set it to a week, and then don't login for a month ... they will still be there. At the end of the month (when you connect with POP3 to download your emails) it will delete all those older than the week you have set it to - once you have downloaded them. It won't check if you have read them or not in your email client - it will just delete them as you have downloaded them, and they are more than a week old. Personally - I just use the setting in the email client I use, rather than the option in cpanel.
  18. Do you think we could all get one? Free dedicated servers for Christmas
  19. Hi Stuart, welcome to our Forums - How long have you been in business? since 2000 - What are the specs for your shared and reseller servers? 20. Welcome to the forums Jeremy
  21. at Steve
  22. Well done Mike (and yes they are one and the same Mike)
  23. A subdomain is generally not independent from the domain, from the perspective if your files etc, it's like a folder (directory) within your space. From the visiting users viewpoint it would be 18c.gentlemenoffortune.com and 19c.gentlemenoffortune.com for example to cover the 18th and 19th centuries of pirates. In terms of giving limited access. You could give an FTP account that would only see their folder. (So you would create an FTP account just for 18c for example). You could of course do exactly the same using gentlemenoffortune.com/18c and gentlemenoffortune.com/19c. To create it as a subdomain, simply log into your cpanel, and go to the icon "subdomain" type in the name you want - and press Add.
  24. I'm not sure, but if you are simply after importing a large mysql file into your database, simply upload it onto the server, open a ticket at the help desk, and ask us to put it into the database for you.
