  1. I concur with Frylok. I have done the same thing to my .htaccess files and have had great results. But for good measure, I also include a PHP script that headers a redirection out to the home page of my site(s). Somewhat eliminates the needs for the line in the .htaccess files, but nonetheless, it's nicer than my error pages.

  3. This is one of the reasons I like to hard-code HTML. In this instance, I think it's just better to simply learn how to code forms yourself.
  4. Spybot is great. Yeah, I know about removing spyware. My fiancee's workplace gets some from time to time, and I'm called in to remove it. It's easy money, since they pay me $20/hr for technical/computer work I do in there. Boy is it nice to know a little about everything!
  5. I've just got a GF4Ti4600...

  8. Why don't you just use the email with your TCH account? Heck, sometimes I have Outlook automatically add a signature from my OMGN addresses for promotional purposes, hehe...
  9. Nice interview, nice site!
  10. Never mind... Couldn't get it to do what I wanted it to. `Edit` Yeah. I know. But part of the reason I wanted to do it was to see if I could.
  11. SmartFTP here too! Perhaps there should be some official poll we can vote in, including all of the FTP clients mentioned here...
  12. about:blank for me! I do use favorites in IE, but I use them for a reason... I can move my mouse fast. Hehehe. I may just make some sort of sidebar favorites page. I'm sure if I researched enough Javascript (Since I do indeed have a book), that I could build a neat little script that puts the window into normal mode, resizes it to the max height and width-200px, and builds a links page on the extra width space that can control the main window... [will do this tonight] If I get a good working script built, I'll post it here for you guys to use. This sounds like a neat project, I can't wait to work on it here soon...

  14. Good question. Perhaps make a redirect in CPanel that anything going to mysite.com goes to www.mysite.com? Will that work?
  15. Ah, ok. Thanks for the information... Not that I ever used it. The only thing I would have needed it fr would have been cron jobs, but CPanel has that built in an interface...

  19. One of the things I think really shows just how dedicated TCH is to its customers... The older servers, take 10 for example, have been around for awhile. Everybody on them seems to be running well enough. Most hosting companies leave old servers as-is simply because everything works well anyway. But TCH isn't so. They upgrade their older servers all the time and keep them up-to-date with any new ones that come online. Thanks TCH!
  20. In any case, the reason it wasn't working was because there are two commas after the 5.
  21. www.badassbuddy.com is the only one I know of, but I think it's been acquired by Bolt (Evil, evil empire). It still works though.
  22. Ooh hey, good suggestions Jim... I'll use those if I ever implement a flash menu myself. I want to make a flash title image soon, but I don't even know flash yet...
  23. Office updates.. bleh. Mine won't update. Says my Office copy is pirated. Gah. Microshaft strikes again...
  24. What is it?
  25. Here's the jist of it: A website is considered a referrer if it was the last website visited before the user went to your site, generally. Most of the time, IE is stupid and it will record a referrer, even if the user was at www.yahoo.com and went to your website through favorites. As a result, www.yahoo.com is the referrer, despite no link being clicked. Some people can even set the referrer in their browser, which I have experienced (One of my referrers was "Running to hide!").
