  6. A little of both. TCH created your cpanel username which affects those settings, but you can choose the rest. Go into MySQL Accout Manager and you will be able to see the name of your DB and the user for the DB. You can delete the current user and create and add a new one to the database. This way you will not have to worry about what the user and password for the database is because you created them. Take a look here for a tutorial on Setting up MySQL Accounts. http://help.totalchoicehosting.com/cpanel_...createmysql.htm For the settings in your config file: $servername = 'localhost'; $dbname = 'cpanelname_dbname'; $dbusername = 'cpanelname_dbusername'; $dbpassword = 'dbpassword'; Replace cpanelname with your cPanel Account Name, replace all the others with the account information you create. For example if your cpanel account name is George any database or database user you create will be added to that name. If you create a DB named testdb then it would look like. george_testdb If you just want to reinstall the script, you can use the existing DB and change the information in your ne config file. If you wish to start fresh just delete the old database and create a new one then enter the information for the new DB into your new config file.
  7. if www.totallymobiledjs.com is the site you are seting this up on and www.totallymobiledjs.com/forums is where your forums are then www.totallymobiledjs.com/forums/install/mod_table_inst.php is where you would go to run the dbase table install script.
  8. 1. You can but I have never used Vbulletin so I'm not sure if it requires making any extra changed in the script or DB to reflect the directory name change. 2. No that password should have no affect on the Vbulletin installation. 3. When accessing a database you must use cpanelusername_dbusername. 3a. They just used you cpanel username for the db username, but it can be anything. 3b. No they do not have to be the same. 3c. No the db can be cpanelusername_whateveryouwant You should be able to do a fresh install and just plugin in the information for $dbusername, $dbpassword, and $dbname that way you will not lose any information in your db. The only issue I see is if you change the name of the directory.
  9. Just log into your account for JBJWEBDESIGNER.COM and select Default Parked Name Servers. They will be changed to PARK##.SECURESERVER.NET and will resolve to the domain registrar's default parked page.

  12. Nah. The mess is the outcome. No the mess was the process, so we are not going to discuss the rest of it. TCH does not normally allow discussions on politics, religion or any other controversial topics. So if the topic turns into anything than a topic about voting, which means no "why I voted for...." or anything along that lines or I will close this topic. I also don't want to hear about your freedom of speech, we have rules and they will be followed. I'm not trying to step on anyones toes or ego, I just want to put this out on the table before it gets to the point that I have to close this thread. Now that all of that is out of the way. Thomas, I'm not the best person to explain this so offer this quote. One more thing I did not stand in those long lines and vote, I voted early
  13. Just a couple of side notes, Microsoft is not a great site to use for testing the quality of any of these services. Your best bet if you want to test a service like this use http://www.w3.org/. The British Disability Discrimination Act is similar to the W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. So if your site meets W3C standars then you should comply with the British Disability Discrimination Act.
  14. what operating system are you using?
  15. Like Thomas said, all activity counts towards your bandwidth but you can add bandwidth if needed or upgrade to a higher plan at anytime. Just drop a ticket to the help desk when the time comes and they will take care of you.
  16. 4000 is still way too many! I'm not sure if PS has a limit on the amount of fonts you can install but I doubt it. Your fonts are mostly handled by Windows. Does Windows have a limit? Hmmm that depends, the original 1000 limit from Windows 9x comes from the small size limit of an individual registry key. That limit does not exist in XP, so you can install fonts all day long. The problem is your registry will become much larger than needed or possibly corrupt and affect system performance. There is no way you can use all of those fonts at once, so get a font management program. Until you do this and disable fonts until needed you will continue to experience problems with PS and Windows. Just My 2% of a $
  17. TCH doesnt offer any of the options you listed above, we offer domain name parking which means if you have website1.com and you park website2.com on it, both domains will resolve to main index page of website1.com. So, if a visitor types in website2.com they will end up at the same page as website1, but I'm pretty sure the address bar will display website2.com. This is not a forward, both domains resolve to the same place so there is no forwarding or redirecting going on. There is no cost to have us park a second, third, fourth etc. domain on your primary domain. You can not have a second domain point to a subdirectory or subdomain on your site, one site per standard account, if you need multiple sites, add on domains, the ability to point sites at subdomains etc you would need a reseller account.
  18. thanks Thomas
  19. Where are you seeing that, when i click on FAQ i get this page http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/help/faq.htm
  20. You might have noticed the new site is gone again, We are having the flash re worked and should be complete mon or tues.
  21. I don't think so. http://www.tchstatus.com:8080/ is not currently working. But the actual server is up http://www.tchstatus.com/ This might have something to do with the work being done on the new site.
  22. I think the problem your seeing has to do with screen resolution, in your screen shot where it says "Third Party" with the cut off text below it, on my screen it shows "Third Party Applications" all on one line
  23. No worries, it took me a few seconds to figure out thats how it worked. It doesnt seem very intuitive when you think of them as one site, but makes sense when you think of them as two seperate sites.
  24. I just wanted to add something here since you felt the help desk was of no use. Our techs do not provide support for FrontPage. They do not provide support for any HTML editors like FP, Dreamweaver, cute site builder etc. All they can do is verify that the server side of things (extensions etc.) are correct. When you messaged me several times I suggested that the forums would be the best place to get an answer to your problem since we do not provide support for FP. There are over 4,000 members here, many of them FP users.
  25. Should be fixed, i just removed the friends image since it loaded the same page as the personal sites link. now instead of commercial, non profit, personal and friends it is just commercial, non profit and personal
