  1. View the Total Choice Web Hosting Help Site Page on MovableType!
  2. I'm assuming you are not hosted here, with that crazy post. While this forum is for customers of TotalChoice Hosting, everyone here is very friendly. Try posting your problem instead of begging. We will not hold your hand but we can try to offer some assistance or point you to a proper resource. The best option would be to move your site here and take advantage of our one click install for phpbb.
  3. I have had this done for me before. I just dropped a ticket to the help desk. Double check that there is nothing there you want, as this will remove all logs, emails, etc...
  4. You dont access it by domain.com/webmail/spam The instructions say in your pop3 client add /spam to your username, not the url IF you have spambox enabled all you need to do is access domain.com/webmail go into Horde and in the dropdown menu in the upper right choose the spam folder.
  5. You can install the upgrade yourself, or have IPB install it, they include installation with the lic.
  6. Yeah, after 1.3 IPB went to paid only
  7. The last free public release of IPB was 1.3, if you can find a copy of it you can manually upgrade it.
  8. I just took a look at your forums, and they need to be upgraded. We did upgrade PHP on our servers, but we are not responsable for upgrading whatever software you have on your site. You are running phpbb 2.0.6 and should upgrade to 2.0.11
  9. Yes, just open a support ticket (theres a help desk link at the top of this page) and ask that the domain name be parked on your account.
  10. You need to use ><? include "http://www.angrymob.org/include.php?forum_id=3&post_count=7"; ?> the way you have it causes the include to look for a file named "include.php?forum_id=3&post_count=7".
  11. Just wanted to say Welcome Aboard! and you should have no problems running Photostack.
  12. SpamAssasin is included with all accounts
  13. You are correct, here is some more information from Yahoo. Also the offer you mentioned at yahoo is only open to new customers that purchase domains. If you allow that to happen you will not be able to transfer it and it will go into a 30 day redemption period. To get your domain back your registar will charge you the renewal fees plus a service charge. If you do not renew it before the 30 days are up then it is returned to the "pool" and anyone has a chance at it. This a bad route to try as the domain will not work during the redemption period and your chances of recovering the name are low. What you can do is transfer your domain to TCH for $10.95, which includes a 1-year extension. You will receive the same benefits you would at yahoo plus the ability to Lock your Domains. You also need to keep the take into account the following: You need to start your transfer at least 10 days before your domain registration expires or the transfer may not be successful. If your domain name expires during the transfer process, we cannot complete it. Also note that ICANN regulations prohibit transferring a domain name that has been registered or previously transferred within the last 60 days.
  14. I must be slow, I ran Resynchronize Forum ad now it's 100044.

  19. Sounds cool, you can never have too many gadgets. I was in Fry's the other day looking at weather stations some them are loaded with options. Maybe oneday I wll replace my old analog barometer.
  20. If i was to buy a pre built pc it would either be a dell or an emachine (yes i DID in fact say emachine ) From past exp Dell has great support and the prices arent to bad either. Before about 6 months ago I would have NEVER recommended an emachine but TCH bought me one for work and it has been solid as a rock. I wouldnt recomend an "out of the box" pc, meaning its all preconfigged and all you do is unpack it and plug it in. What I would do is either order one online where you can configure it how you want (more ram, better vid card etc) or go somewhere you can order it built how you want. The main thing I would look at are RAM and video card, at a bare minimum I'd get a gig of RAM and minimum 128MB video card as well. If your an Intel fan your better off staying away from a celeron and getting a P4, theres less L2 cache on the celeron and more cache on the proc would do you some good with any processor intensive stuff (like working with graphics) Theres also basicly 3 flavors of P4 as far front side bus speeds go, theres 400, 533 and 800MHz front side bus. If your an AMD fan at a bare minimum I'd say an XP 3200, unless you wanted to get into a 64 bit processor then theres a lot more choices (just stay away from socket 754 if you go that route)
  21. You need to open a support ticket using the help desk link at the top of this page and we can get it sorted out for you.
  22. This has been great for me so far. Believe it or not, it's snowing in Houston. So far it's a little less than inch, but it's the first time it has snowed on Xmas here since 1989. It's not alot compared to anywhere else but try telling that to my 5 and 10 year old girls, who threw thier first ever snowball tonight. Forget about gifts this is what it is all about. Happy Holidays
  23. When I click it I get nothing but a "thunk" sound. Nothing happens at all. you need to allow popups from this site
  24. automated search engine submittals are generally not a good idea, and many search engines either wont accept them or place them far at the end of the list of sites to be indexed. Manually submitting your site is the best way, even better is just having your site linked to from a site already in the search engines.
  25. There are no plans in the immediate future and deffinately not by the end of the year to upgrade to php 5. We will not upgrade one or two servers and we do not move customers from server to server on request. Hate to see you go but TotalChoice is probably not the right host for you at this time. Good luck with wherever you host.
