  1. I know on Invisions website, they say that they will install it for free when you buy it.
  2. Okay. I think I will start off with a one year license and then upgrade to a lifetime after that. How would I begin to upgrade it after I buy it? Should I have you guys do it?
  3. Well that's no good. So I suppose my only option to upgrade would be to purchase it, correct?
  4. Just checked, it only shows "upgrade to 1.2" but I already have that. "InvisionBoard 1.2 Setup" hmmm
  5. I know I was able to update my Invision PowerBoard once before through Cpanel. Am I not able to do that anymore? right now I am running Invision Power Board(U) v1.2 © 2003 IPS, Inc. I know my cpanel shows PHPBB or some forum but I have really become accustomed to IPB and love all of the options. Is there any upgrade available?
  6. Great find. Thanks a ton.
  7. why would anyone need that? All they need to do is go to Start>Search
  8. I already have that option selected. It gives the choice to log on anonymously or not. I want to get that off.
  9. I am running Invision Power Board(U) v1.2 oh my website. A lot of members on the forum like to check that anonymous box while logging in. I don't want them to do that. I have seached high and low in the Administration center to turn this function off for all members aside from administrators. I can't figure it out. Is this not an option?
  10. Hey everyone. Currently, I manage the website for the company I work for. I have had an exceptional experience with your hosting for my own personal site, and am hoping for some insight on pricing options or even if the options are available. On average, the companys monthly bandwidth usage is up to 400 GIGABYTES. On holidays mainly. With the growth rate of the company, I am personally speculating .75 terrabyte usage rate in the not so distant future. Storange is a very high number as well. We had considered hosting the site in house but it is not a financially sound option. It would be a much better idea to have the site hosted. Also for reliability issues. We don't run the business around it's web site so buying extra equiment to host the site alone would be a loss. Let me fill you in, we are a publishing company. We do supply and have custom artwork for the customer on hard copy as well as to download. Most files are quite large in size for quality of print reasons. High resolution custom artwork. Again, the company is not based on the website, we use it as a tool to maximize our productivity. Future options and outlooks for the website include online ordering, etc etc. Would totalchoice be able to host this company considering the bandwidth it uses and future growth expectations of the company? What kind of expectations are you looking for out of the business? This is a small business and it is growing at a tremendous rate with no signs of future failure. Would TCH have any options for a company like this? I am hoping to get some estimations and speculations to show upper management in comparison to what we have now for hosting which is very limited as far as administrator controls go, etc etc. I hope you have something to offer. 11. I cant find an error now and I did what Dirk told me to do. I have done everything instructed for me to do. There is no error log this time so something must have been done right. I am just unable to see the site. Something is not right. We must figure this out. Thumbs Up
  12. Well, I did everything as said above. Once I reached the success.php page, it was blank. I started a brand new folder and a brand new database and user. all three called 'nick'. I made sure to take my time and get everything exact. When you set the permissions to these... _Set permissions to 775 on the following directories: /nick/configfolder/logs /nick/backend /nick/images/articles /nick/images/userphotos Did you also then set the permissions to each individual file and folder inside of the folders as well? Also, for the lib-common.php file, you have a colon after /home/ Should that be there? I removed it when I changed my lib-common file. Do I need to delete a folder or file or something to continue? I did everything as explained above and still came up with a blank success page. Ther must be some reason why I am coming up with a blank page
  13. thanks a lot for that info. I am going to try it this afternoon. I hope this works for me.
  14. okay... i am gonna lose it.... so far i have all of the files from the public_html folder that was supplied in the tarball in the blog directory. I have set up another folder called configfolder in that directory and put the rest of the setup files in there. I changed the config/php and the lib-common.php files for this It is still not working.... There is SOMETHING I am missing here. Some small detail. Mike said he got it without a problem. He told me to do it this way and I fail. What am i doing wrong
  15. Well, so far TCH MikeJ and I were doing a few things, but have yet to find a solution. Anyone care to chime in? I would really like to get this up and running asap
