Need Help With .htaccess File Access And Direct To Single .php Before
TCH-Dick replied to Kalikali's topic in Open Discussion
You would just create a file named .htaccess in your mp3 dir and add the following line to that file. >deny from all As for your download script, that is all going to depend on how you choose to code it and what scripting language you choose. -
Need Help With .htaccess File Access And Direct To Single .php Before
TCH-Dick replied to Kalikali's topic in Open Discussion
Personally I would store all the files in a directory with an htaccess using the single line "deny from all". Then I would just give my links out as example.com/download.php?song=some.mp3. Doing so in this manner would completely eliminate the direct access and depending on your download script, possible hide the actual file path. -
Your function is just returning the value of $setup_fee and wouldn't pass along exit() to the rest of the script. Just temporarily add exit() directly after you echo the returned value of get_setup_fee().

You can redirect that URL via a standard redirect in htaccess or via port. However, SSL negotiation occurs before any redirection takes place, therefore, if you have no SSL certificate installed then the redirect will never complete.

Yes, there is now a simple DNS Editor in your cPanel, which will allow you to edit A records and CNAME records. There are some limits related to some records that may already exist by default, like "mail." and "ftp.", which we can change for you.

Thanks for the kind words and thanks for choosing us for your dedicated server.

Migrating Email To Office 365
TCH-Dick replied to academic.consulting's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Hi Andrew, Your server is running on the Courier-IMAP service. -
Well I didn't have much to go on without a support ticket or account information, however, I was finally able to locate both of your accounts. After reviewing your new account information and the server logs, I found that you signed up using the email **m****@************.com but your email account is **mm****@************.com. I have now updated your new billing account with your active email account and resent your welcome email, which contains your cPanel information. Thanks for your patience and please let us know if you need any further assistance.

Mail Filter Doesn't Work Occasionally
TCH-Dick replied to lhite's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
When testing the filter in cPanel are you just using the body of the email and/or sender, versus pasting in the entire email with header? I have seen this a few times and most were related to something simple in the header possibly triggering another filter first. Since cPanel now allows easy sorting of your filters, and order does matter, I would move this filter to the top of the list to see if it helps. You can also open a ticket with the full email example and we will gladly assist in testing the issue for you. -
On our servers the directory for the sub domain www is just a symlink to public_html by default, so they should serve the same content. The best thing to if you are concerned about duplicate content is what OJB recommended and rewrite non-www urls to www. I personally prefer to do it the other way and rewrite www to non-www urls, either one will work.
-
Montty, Just log into your domain manager and make sure you see the TotalChoice header. If you are seeing our header then your account has moved back successfully and there is nothing to be concerned about.

The changes for this issue are still being processed and will take some time to complete. Therefore, if you have received your notice email but still can not log, then please give it 30-60 minutes and try again. I have my personal account there as well and it took about 40 minutes after receiving the email before I could log in.
-
If you did log in, you have nothing to be concerned with. We are just recommending clients not make any major changes in the next 24 hours if possible.
-
Yes, this is a scam that has being going on for years, they are hoping you contact them so they can sell you those domains at a high price. Just treat emails like this as spam and delete it.
-
Yes, that is the best method. While we do our best to monitor for such issues, we always welcome reports for any concerns or issues.

Greetings, On Friday May 6, 2011 at 9:PM EST, we are beginning phase one of our planned upgrade to PHP 5.3 on all shared/reseller servers. As always we are selecting one server for this upgrade, we then expect to complete a full roll out before the end of May. I will be updating the forum for the selected server shortly and Ryan will be updating this notice later tonight with some technical insight into this planned upgrade. Please see Ryan's follow up concerning the details of this update. We will post in the Server Forum for each individual server at least one day in advance of any PHP updates. We will also post any relevant information via twitter. Thanks for your time and let us know if you have any questions.

"So, I assume the plan is to crawl through the sewer, work our way to the shield generator, fight our way through the defenses, blow up the generator, knocking out the shield and all our troops swarm in and overwhelm the enemy."

Hi Joanne, We are reviewing this option over the next week and will be doing some testing. I will make sure that we get you an update here regardless of how we decide to proceed.

Until you can configure that notebook to leave a copy on the server when popping, your only real option would to be forward that mail to another address for now. This would give you a copy of the mails and can be removed at anytime.
-
This will depend on how you are sending the emails such as sendmail or using smtp functions. I can tell you that you would need to throttle your emails down to under 200 per minute or less to have any success. There is also an hourly limit well below the amount you intend to send, so would need to take that into consideration. Please open a ticket to tech support and they can give you more detailed information concerning the current rates on your server.
