How are you making the links to the pages? The absolute path ><a href="http://www.mysite.com/subdomain/index.html"> or the short version ><a href="subdomain/index.html"> If you are using the short one it would look for the directory subdomain. Since you are already there it would give an error. Am I making sense? Or is the not the problem?

Yes, but you can't have it point to a subdomain, it must point to the same page as your primary domain. This will allow you to use it for email.

Thumbs Up Madmanmcp, any and all help that you provide is appreciated by everyone here. Even if you provide a answer that doesn't quite satisfy the poster, it might help someone else. Thumbs Up

No don't do that. It was a great read.

Say I want to key my main page for the word "pet". Should I use the word "pet", "pets", or try for both in the important areas of the page. What I am truying to say is, if you search for "pet" does Google also look the word "pets" or "pet" within "pets" You wouldn't think so but I thought I would toss this idea on the table. Would hate to search for pet funeral and get petrified!

Forwarding Mail To Aol And Spam Complaints
TCH-Dick posted a topic in Family Forums News and Updates
After several HUNDRED spam complaints from AOL, and some investigating by the TCH staff, we think we have found out the reason for 90% of the SPAM complaints. If you use AOL and have your e-mail from your TCH site forwarded to your AOL address, PLEASE remove the forward. Every time a SPAM e-mail is forwarded to AOL from a TCH hosted account it looks like the SPAM is comming from TCH, so AOL flags it then sends a SPAM report to us. After so many SPAM complaints/reports, the server gets blacklisted and it is a nightmare getting AOL to remove a server from their blacklist. -
I've seen offers of a buy out, in the help desk of all places. Bills answer has always pretty much been thanks for the opffer but I'll pass. I don't see it being sold.

once you get it installed, it has a web based interface for configuring it, but if you need any help I'll be glad to give you a hand.

A mailing list is the way to go, but Mailman wont do it without some add ons. The mailing list program I would recommend is this one http://mojo.skazat.com/
-
The only problem with that is there is a limit on the server that only permits 50 outgoing e-mails every 300 seconds. If you try and send 6000 e-mails all at once, 50 will be delivered and you will get 5550 bounce messages.
-
Yes it will, so TCH limits the number of outgoing mail in a certain amount of time, 50 outgoing e-mails every 300 seconds (5 minutes),

Due to the quirks of IPB I had to choose one or the other for the two links to be added at the top of the page. Bill and I talked about it a bit and it's pretty easy to keep up with new posts using the View new posts link, so we feel it's more beneficial to have the help desk link on the forums instead.

Try this site, maybe it can help you find it http://www.duggyd.co.uk/css/

Need Help Sending Email Thru Domain
TCH-Dick replied to webgyrl's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Yeah the bounceback feature is pretty nice, but like you said, pretty complicated. I started to set it up on mine, then decided I didn't need it THAT bad. -
This is a better option than mailman if you ask me http://mojo.skazat.com/

That's the way I read it to, but its wrong, so far I have about $300 built up, about $50 a month. They told me you have to have a total of $100 in any given month before they send a check...so if for 3 months you had $50 and on month 4 you had $100, you would be sent a check for $250 at the end of month 4.

The pays per click vary, they use some weird algorithm (of course they do, its goggle!) To determine the amount, I've had some that are over $1 per click and others about .10
