Hi y'all, I have Firefox 1.0 Preview and it seems I can't install any extensions. When I click on the Install now button I get an error that it can't get the file. It happens on every extension and if I download it to my hard drive I can then just double click it and install it. Any ideas? Thanks!

Make sure up front that the employer pays fees for the headhunter. Some of them take a percentage of your salary for a period of time. If the hospital wants someone enough to pay for a headhunter then fine - if not then I'd stay away.

Nothing immediately obvious. Just down deep in the knowledge base or MSDN I'll hit a page that just won't render. Probably a rogue page they haven't gotten around to updating to near-compliance, but then again look at how many broken links they have.

But it's not! It doesn't have a single one of the security vulnerabilities that IE has so when I go to a virus site I won't get infected! It's a lousy replacement for IE! Personally, I love it and I'm excited about the future of the program once this momentum builds a tiny bit more. I only use FireFox unless I find a site that won't work with it and that's usually only Microsoft.com

IE's apparently losing ground and Firefox is apparently worth Microsoft's attention. It's not a huge percentage but Firefox is a baby product and with a few more features and a major publicity push it may well be a factor to consider. Many say that people will not use a 3rd party browser and they are too lazy or inexperienced to bother with it and they'll only use what is already on their machine, but at one time Netscape was neck and neck with IE so I'm not sure I believe that. Bans for spamming are done on a account basis, not per domain. The entire reseller account would be suspended. Ultimately, you are responsible for your resold resource usage.

Robert is right. They are a big boost on Google but think about this - if you sell doggy chew toys and you get a link from Ma's Cookies then people probably won't follow the link to your site if they are looking for a nice dessert cookie. If, however, you get a link from the local vet or the ASPCA or the dog food company then more of their visitors are likely to come to your site looking for chew toys for their best friend.

We used to think "If I build it, people will come." That was in the 80's and there were a few thousand websites around. Now we must do something to get people to come to our sites. One way that is, in my opinion, relied on too heavily is search engines. The idea is to get to #1 or #2 on the search engines for a term and you're set. That also used to work but not as well today. As common as websites are you will have to use everything at your disposal to get people to see it and then don't be too discouraged if they don't. Did you see that ad that Armstrong Chevy put in the paper last Tuesday? Maybe not but you may have seen the TV commercial, billboard, heard the radio spot, etc. We have to market our sites that way too. Put the address on letterhead, envelopes, business cards, flyers, bumper stickers, company trucks, etc... not just the search engines. A signature block in every email you send out is another good tool.

Raul, I like the new way of doing finds too, especially the hilight option, but when I tried it the first time I didn't notice the bottom of the screen and thought it was broken! Lotsa good things happening.

As I read this they say at least 7 are dead in Florida and it may hang around for up to 20 hours. Nasty things! As for New Orleans, parts of the city are 9 feet below sea level so they really don't need the rains. Everyone stay as safe as you can!

I use a javascript piece of code that constructs the email address in the visitor's browser. Currently there are no email scrapers that I know of which render scripts. It's probably not going to be long before they do so the form is a much better solution since you're at a point you can do that just as well as a script. I just wanted to mention another common way. Not better, but common.

As with any non-trivial upgrade, make backups. I'm not sure about the Sweedish version but I've not heard any problems with the upgrade that were reliable. When you run the upgrade, don't run anything else so the computer can put all of it's power to the upgrade. You'll want to make sure you have some free space too because it will want to backup some of the files in the system now.
