I ran a tracert on your IP address that you posted from.. It appears your using chartermi.net If this is the case the reason you can not send email is that Charter has blocked the use of port 25. You may have noticed some issue over the past hour when trying to connect to totalchoicehosting.com/forums This is due to us moving databases and content to the new server. We are 90% there. The forums , help desk, and customer database are all now running on the new server, while all the static (non database backend) stuff is still being dished out on the old server. For some reason we are seeing corrupt mail boxes on accounts that people are checking once per minute. So Bill has a brainstorm... Limit the inbound pop3 connections per account. Bad idea. Sorry. I removed the limitations the very next morning as I could see it was causing to many people to become upset. *TCH-Dick made bad choice.

Hi, Well its simply amazing to me. It seems like just yesterday that we upgraded our main server. Here are some numbers. Since then traffic to our web site has grown by 1200%, our client base has nearly doubled in size, I have gotten even more grey hairs then ever. We have grown leaps and bounds. With this said I am happy to announce this. totalchoicehosting.com is moving on to: Intel P4 3.06GHz Processor (Hyperthread Technology, 800MHz FSB) 2GB RAM 2 X 80GB 10,000 RPM SCSI Drives Vroom, Vroom, Vroom. Ok here is whats wrong. Go Microsoft. You can not create a form on your PC and save it to your hard drive. It will work on your PC, but once uploaded to the server is will not work. You have to navigate to your website and create the form live on the server. If you search the forums there are a few threads with detailed how tos on this subject. Bill

Moving to backend services.

Hi, I think the issue is server loads. Sending 2K emails a day is alot for a shared account to move. We can support lots of users, but sending mass mail in that quanity we can not allow. Thanks Bill

We are aware of the problem with AOl and their scomp blacklist. I have been in contact with AOL and are trying to sort this out, I will update this thread when I know more. Bill

Things are back to normal. All pages on the TCH domain are up and running. I appologize for this brief outage and assure you it only effected the totalchoicehosting.com domain, and no other client sites were effected. Things are squared away and we are back to normal. Bill

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are haing some technical problems with the main TCH server. This has been on going for about 2 hours. We have our entire technical support team looking into this issue now. This is NOT effecting any customer sites at all. It just effects our main totalchoicehosting.com site. Just wanted to let everyone know. Updates soon.....

We will not be offering SSH in any form, now or into the future. If your on a virtual server you can authenticate in cPanel using the shared ssl. There are no plans on exploring sftp of scp. We may perhaps offer a custom plan for developers. Perhaps a plan that offers SSH and all the other goodies that a dev person would want. But for the current virtual plans we are not going to offer ssh any longer. Bill
