  1. Effective Monday October 6, 2003 the following changes to the backup policy will take effect. We will no longer be offering client requested restorable daily backups. The only daily backups will be offsite backups and will only be available for mass restore. eg; server restore! Do not take this as there are no more daily backups. That would be a incorrect assumption. We are simply doing away with the client restorable daily backups, but will continue to run the daily backups to our offsite backup servers. We of course will still be offering Weekly and Monthly Backups, and the policy will not change on the client requested restores from Weekly or Monthly backups. This being that clients can request restores from week end or month end backups. Frankly there has been no demand for client requested restorable daily backups and since running 2X (offsite and local) daily backups place such a high load on the servers, the benefits of not offering client restorable daily backups is to greatly reduce servers loads Thanks for your time and continued support.
  2. Nothing has changed on the pages. The only page we use a refresh script on is our server status page, and that page will refresh every 60 seconds for obvious reasons. Its apparent you have a browser problem. Now on to SqMail. Submit a ticket and we can look at the issue. We don't over sell servers, when is the last time server23 was down? It hasn't been expect for a reboot when we upgraded kernels. If the server was oversold you would know it everday. Pages would load slow, in general the server would suck. I just ran thru server23 and it is fast and responsive. We don't run a 'mail server' independent from your main server. Server23 is the mail server. Now with that said you need a good understanding of why sqmail can get slow. If the login your using is ******/sqmail then here is why at times it can be slower than normal. It runs over port 80, so it will run along side all the web site traffic in and out of the server. It uses IMAP. So if a lot of sites are checking sqmail it will slow down. Best thing to do is submit a help desk ticket and we can look at the issue. https://ssl.totalchoicehosting.com/supportdesk/
  3. I couldnt have said it any better myself. Nothing like wearing out your welcome. eh?
  4. Hi, I have restart the FTP server for your server. This might correct the issue. If not submit a support ticket so I can take a closer look at your account. https://ssl.totalchoicehosting.com/supportdesk/
  5. Most wap is done via cgi. We fully support cgi...
  6. After a extended absence from our family, I would like to welcome Nick Cheek back to the support department. Nick is a part time guru and I am so glad to see him back with us. Oh btw, hes going to be a daddy soon. Congrats Nick! Bill
  7. I own this company, these are my forums. You play by the rules or you dont post. Your post wasn't misread. I cant be any more clear than that. Violate the rules your gone. You second warning was issued due the use of profane language.
  8. Once again I am closing your thread. Even your topic stated "Serial Number". Either you think I am stupid or you are! Issued once again another warning to your account. One more leads to revocation of posting rights.
  9. Look. You asked in a public forum for "a serial number to turn your software into the full version". Where I come from thats software piracy! Take this warning and go about your day. Thats what I am doing.
  10. If you talk about pirated software - it tends to raise eyebrows. When you ask others to assist you in the use of your pirated software, it makes us grouchy. Your thread was deleted and your username given a warning. I dont like software pirates. TCH doesnt support software piracy. Warning Issued. Case Closed.
  11. Hi, Effective Monday September 29, 2003 the following services will be removed from all cpanel servers. webalizer stats analog stats I have given this much thought and even ran some user polls in the forums back a few months ago. At that point we determined that AWSTATS was the most prefered stats program. We will be keeping AWSTATS as the official web stats package. Running all three stats package is causing the servers to run higher loads than I would like to see, also by running all three more disc space is used as there are three sets of stats to store. Thanks for your contuned support. Bill
  12. Just for the members who asked for it, here is the new OS Forum. Should we move the old threads on OS discussions to here? If so can someone find them all and leave linls here? Enjoy Bill
  13. How bout a forum dedicated just to Linux, Windows, OSX and so on?
  14. Outblaze is stupid. We have already asked them to remove the mistaken blacklist, but they are to busy acting high and mighty. TCH does not host spammers. Outblaze is a group of incompetent admins that are to lazy to correct the mistake. If you like we can move you to a new IP. But I give you my word we dont have out IP's blacklisted in the read world.
  15. This is clearly stated on the sign up pages. Quoted from the sign up page. "Do not use email account with domain name you are signing up with! "
  16. Zero
  17. So whadda you say? Who is going to make that tut?
  18. We got so excited we did them all!
  19. I just sent email from my backup earthlink dial up account using port26. *bill smiles and waves hello at Earthlink So much for smtp port blocking
  20. Ok Lets try this folks. All servers listed in this thread now have port26 running smtp. please try and respond.
  21. Thread closed. Please refer to this thread http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...=ST&f=17&t=4608
  22. I have been asked by several clients to look at running smtp over another port other than port 25. This is due to the fact that many ISP's are blocking port 25 thus rendering send mail inoperable. As always, TCH listens to the client base. I have started to work out the details on this project. I am working on what server to use as a test bed. If I could get some some beta testers that would really help. Please respond here if your willing to ( and would not need the technical guidance to report your email client) become a beta tester. I just need to pick a server then we can start testing this work-around. I will be watching this thread over the next days looking for anyone willing to work with me on this project. If things go well, we will port smtp to an additional port on all the servers. Bill
  23. Lets pick a server to test this on. Gimmie a server# and I will port smtp to another port. I am waiting for that server number.
  24. It is the weekend. The forums are not the ideal place to answer presales questions in a hurry. Please drop us a email to presales@totalchoicehosting.com and we will answer your question about email account reselling. While its not against our Terms of Services, I would highly suspect you would not last long on our servers. We have a zero tolerance policy against spam. Anyways, drop us a email and we can continue this discussion there.
