WG-102 Prosafe Wireless Router from Netgear will do the trick. I block content based on url and keyword in url blocking. The logging feature is useless, so i have the router dump its logs to my fileserver once per day and I analize the logs with a aftermarket app. I used to be a very large dlink fan, however the past year we have seen a great decline in their products and I would not suggest them anylonger. My entire home based network is all Netgear now.

Dick, If you dont have a volt meter, you could always stick your tongue on the psu leads to check for power

I am moving to a new OS on all my Pc's in my home network. I thought this would be a good topic to discuss.

Do you get any video at or before post? If you do, I would agree with Andy - look at the PSU.

My first suggestion is not to start again with Frontpage. Microsoft has stopped providing any support for Frontpage as it has reached its EOL (End of Life) and is being replaced with a product that will NOT be compatable with .nix varations. So the new MS web designer software will only work with MicroSloft servers. There are many other good software packages out there that will assist you in your efforts to make a nice looking website.

Sorry you did not recieve the notification. Best thing to do is to subscribe to the announcement forums and you will get any future notices posted on the forums directly to your email.

I have to agree with Mike on this one. phpBB is a decent board and is very widespread. I would estimate that nearly 30% of all sites hacked here at TCH are caused by phpBB. My personal choice is IPB.

This is a known bug in cPanel. We have contacted the cPanel Team and they are aware of it and we are expecting a fix from them very soon.

First of all, if you were at all reading the forums you would have noted that at the end of the migration we TOOK down the old servers. SO server64 and server65 are NOT DOWN, they are no longer in production. Secondly all sites have been restored. Most likley if your site is not resolving your not using TCH DNS! I cant tell you how many tickets I have answered with clients moaning about their sites being down and all along it was not our fault. If you manage offsite DNS then of course your site is down. Update your DNS with the new IP and stop yelling at people that have been working on this migration for nearly 36 hours its just down right counter productive.

Thanks for the kind words John. We really do try to be proactive, latley its been a difficult with so much growth here at TCH. However, we are back on track and things are starting to progress well. Once again John, thanks for your kind words and your business.

Surefire, I hate to be the bearer of bad news. There is a law on the books that is referred to as deliberate indifference. It basiclly says that if you cause injury or death to a person and you could have prevented such by not giving incorrect or false pretenses then you are guilty of a crime. Does this law apply to the internet? Sure does.... There was a case in New Jersey where a web site disclosed specific instructions on a specfic crime. The web site indicated clearly on the site that the site was for informational use only. However, a teen followed the advice and was killed using the instructions posted on the site. The lawsuit was filled by the parents and the court settled in their favor and stated the "deliberate indifference" statues. The case is currently under appeal. Bill

Actually there have been three patches released from cPanel over the past several days. Yes, Hostgator had a good majority of there servers compromised, but it was not their fault. This was a 0-day exploit. Not even the vendor knew of the exploit so nothing could be done. We have applied every patch that cPanel has released for this. The patchs that were released would not change the cPanel release numbers your seeing in your control panels. Bill

The guy wants "a" records setup on your domain. It's not a issue, just drop in a help desk ticket and we can add the records to the domains dns entries. Bill

It is possible that our firewall disconnects your session as it "may" have seen a packet it didnt like during the session. I doubt that is the case, but it is possible. When you say "lots" of files, how many files are you talking about?
-
Thanks for the kind words. and I am glad to see that we are doing things the way you want them done. Go TCH!
-
I own a bunch, never counted them to be honest. Hmm, maybe thats something I should start doing!

Actually we have increased the bandwidth to 1600GB a month. It is now 800/800, so you should be ok with traffic. You will not need to pay the $4.00 per month, as you are moving all your domains to your dedicated box. If you have any other questions, just let us know.

Actually my tech was incorrect. IDLE is supported.

Notes will work with TCH, I have been using it for a couple years without issue.
