Generally speaking, RAM upgrades are relatively easy to do yourself. The key advice I would give is to make sure you ground yourself (i.e. touch some metal part of the computer) to reduce the risk of static electricity damaging or destroying your memory chip(s) before you even have a chance to use it!

Not a bad idea! That way, if you really get frustrated at your computer, you can always eat it!

You may want to PM one of the TCH staff. They usually have more knowledge of the inner-workings and plans for the servers than the forum moderators do.

Take it from me...they don't treat FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) employees any better! (Before I get flamed, I'm an installer...I don't have anything to do with the administration part! ) I've been working with them for 3 years now and I also have endured many delays due to humans, mechanical, and weather. I could also relate some other "stories" but I'll save that for another time! However, I still love to fly. I flew in (and jumped from) aircraft for nearly 20 years in the Air Force and I still enjoy it...even with the headaches and hassles!
