I've usually seen the slash written as </li> or </br>. It's called an end tag. Per my HTML 4 book that I consult quite frequently ( ) the <br> command doesn't require an end tag. You probably won't hurt anything by removing them, but it won't hurt anything to leave them in either. As I was once told..."If it ain't broke, don't fix it!" EDIT: thanx btrfld! I'm just typing too slow this a.m. Need more coffee!

Squirrelmail Users Port 80 - Read Please
stevevan replied to dlevens's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I also use sqmail to check my domain accounts several times each day. I haven't noticed any particular slowdowns on my server (#23). -
I have both ZA and NAV on my company laptop (my installation...not theirs). They coexist quite peacefully together...much better than McAfee AV ever did. I DID, however, break down and purchase the annual subscription. I've been bit by that animal before and did not enjoy the weekend I spent restoring everything. (Thank God for backups!)

I love futbol (soccer for those in the US) also, but I'm on the road so much due to my job. It's times like this that I miss my satellite tv! Go Netherlands! P.S. I've quit playing cause it was taking about 2 weeks to heal up between games! So now I just referee!

FWIW... You might want to try surefire's script found here. I use his script and it's very easy and simple to set up and he provides great support. As far as combatting those email-harvesting bots, check out this this site. They encode email address into JavaScript that you put into your html. As far as your webpage visitors know, there is absolutely no difference in what they see. Hope this gives you some ideas.

Looks like a lot of fun! As a soccer fanatic, I would love to jump in. But work and school take up enough of my time as it is! (I did pass the link along to a few other friends of mine, tho'!)

Downloading From Squirrel Mail To Outlook
stevevan replied to ramone_kalsaw's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
A possible (slight?) issue with IMAP would be the disk space used up by keeping mail on the server (depending upon how much mail is received). Of course the way around that would be to periodically check/remove mail using squirellmail. I've used IMAP before and like Raul, personal preference said I didn't like it too much. -

Check out the script found here: Surfire Web Design The site owner is also a family member of TCH and many of us use his script. It's simple to set up and can be as detailed as YOU want to make it. Hope this helps!

To The Linux Users... Which Distro Dio You Use?
stevevan replied to lubox.com's topic in Operating Systems
Yeah, that's the impression I got in researching things. So I guess I'll stay with RH9 for the time being. Thanks! -
To The Linux Users... Which Distro Dio You Use?
stevevan replied to lubox.com's topic in Operating Systems
I have two laptops...one (for work) that runs M$2K and the other (mine) that runs RH9. My home system is a dual-boot M$-RH9 box. Out of curiousity: Can anyone elaborate on how much of a difference is there between RH9 and FC? I'm contemplating possibly moving to Fedora, but I'm interested in the good, bad, and ugly between the two.
