  1. I can see the list of servers and login prompts just fine. The javascript window opens up and I can expand that, but there are no handles to scroll down to the bottom of the window. It stays at a fixed size. I'm using IE at 1024x768. I'm on my way to Raleigh, NC myself. As I mentioned in an earlier post, it's really no big deal as I'm having domain issues anyway. Just wasn't sure if it was me or something left out of the script.
  2. Pacific Standard Time (look here) The only weird question is the one not asked!
  3. Nepal
  4. No problem. I didn't know if anyone else was aware of the situation. (Actually, I tho't it was me!)
  5. Antigua
  6. Luxembourg

  9. Due to DNS issues, I tried to remotely log into my cpanel via the link on the help site (here). The remote cpanel site came up, but there was no way to scroll down to access the bottom of the menu. Something missing on the javascript or is it something I'm doing? (or not doing?)
  10. Check out this link from the TCH help pages for more info. I'm not an expert on this, but I believe the reason it's still in cpanel is because it's installed by default. (Hopefully one of the more knowledgeable can chime in!)

  12. My interests are soccer (as you can tell from my avatar), hockey, figuring out how anything electronic works (especially various communications devices), and of course computers. I'm also an accomplished self-taught keyboard player, so I guess you'd have to add music also.
  13. (The former) Yugoslavia (Saipan is in the Northern Marianna Islands)
  14. TCH has disabled the .cgi version of formail due to severe security issues. For a more secure, easy, and FREE version of Formail, check out the Ultimate Formail Script found here. This was written by one of the TCH family and is easy to set up and use.
  15. Saipan
  16. FWIW...it's better to go with the Ultimate Form Mail script as most cgi form scripts are EXTREMELY vulnerable to hackers. (Besides...TCH has disable the cgi type of form scripts.) UFM is easy to set up and use as it will allow you to get as simple or complex as you want.
  17. You may want to drop a note on Surefire's website to thank him. I've been using this script for several months and haven't had as much as a hiccup. One more reason why Rock Sign
  18. If you're using a Linux system, there's a HOWTO found here that may be of some assistance.
  19. Hysterical!
  20. Unless you have a site that needs to be updated (as sometimes is the case), I'd just wait until you get the email. (My site's on 23 also.) Of course now is also a good time to make backups of your site if you haven't made regular backups or if it's been a while since your last one.
  21. I curious to see if anyone knows of a Linux program that works like Macromedia's Homesite. I like the "all-in-one" concept of Homesite (e.g. FTP directly to/from my files from within the program itself). But, I would much rather work on a Linux platform than Windoze. If any one has any suggestions/links/etc., pass them along! TIA.
  22. Good question. I know you can save the slideshow itself as a PowerPoint Slideshow (one of the options in the "save as" drop down box). I do this on a regular basis to put presentations on CD's I distribute out. But I don't know if these will play via the Internet. Another concern would be the size of the file. Regarding the location, I would imagine as long as the link was correct, you could almost put it anywhere. Unless someone else more knowledgeable in these things has a more definitive answer, I'll try this out when I get home on Thursday afternoon to my DSL hookup. I'm on the road right now, so testing things out through a 28.8 (if I'm lucky!) dialup connection sucks!
  23. Sounds all too familiar. After 20 years of military service working in electronics (15 of those spent with PC's, networks, running my own LAN, and working at a local ISP), there was nothing available locally. So now I'm working with FAA electronics. However, if the situation was right, I'd jump back into the computer field in a heartbeat!
  24. I'm using "Popup-Stopper" from panicware. Even though it's an older version (v2.4) it still does the trick quite nicely!
  25. Sorry to hear about your HDD's death. As for a "Common" cause, I would think mechanical, although (and I'm knocking on wood here) after many years of computing, I have yet to have a hard drive crash on me! (Now watch...I just jinxed myself! ) I'm sure there are other "uncommon" reasons out there too!
