h stands for heading, it's semantic markup and can be used for accessibility purposes. But basically it means "heading 1", "heading 2" etc. That's why the heading 1 is bigger and generally gets smaller - but you can style this using css if you want =)

Is this a personal site?

mp3 is a compression format which is why zip doesn't compress it much. btw: when you link - I'd highly suggest you SAY you're linking to a zip rather tthan saying you're linking to an MP3 - this may affect peoples decisions and it's best to give accurate info. =)

*snorts out a mouthful of gatorade* sorry. =) The OSX platform has many, many options for ways to deal with audio files. *I* load them in itunes and run them to my mp3 player. People with ipods an automatically sync their ipods and hdd's but don't always choose to. That doesn't include the many options over at versiontracker.com. There are many ways to download the files and deal with them on the mac, even moreso than on Windows. The only way you can ensure what you want is by zipping the file and making people decompress it to play it. That goes for windows, mac, and *nix variants. =)

*laughs* At least it works, now I can be lazy and not try to figure it out! =)

What's your mt-check.cgi say? What lines did you add to mt.cfg and did you put in a plain password in mt-db-pass.cgi? Moving for organization. =)

I ran textpattern here for about a month then switched to ExpressionEngine. It should run fine though. I installed it for someone else here too and had it up pretty quickly. I'm not sure why you would get a blank page. The last version I installed was 1.19. Are you getting the blank page going to your admin section or the live site? What are the settings you put in the config file (i forget the name)?
-
yes, absolutely. Pretty easily - you can get the code from the program for a flash object (what I used) javascript or java applet. =) edit: to do this you'll need to open up a port to your actual pc, webcam acts as a webserver to allow this - this is the same for any webcam streaming that I know of, other than ftp snapshots =)
-
I used webcamxp for this on windows, and use evocam for this on my powerbook. I don't think you can use ASX files on TCH though I could be wrong. Not sure how to do it the way you are describing though, I'm sorry.

Old Site-->new Site Cpanel Backup/restore Help ?
LisaJill replied to skeptismo's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
I know you don't want to bother tech all the time but this is a good time to try it. If you contact them and let them know your old host etc, they can try to do a direct cpanel -> cpanel transfer. Not all hosts allow this but it's definitely worth a shot. =) -
My pleasure. =)

Mysql Is Crashed Somehow On My Site
LisaJill replied to AlphaJoe's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Earlier this morning I tried to logon from my new apartment and I couldn't get *anywhere* - lots of refused and timeouts. I called the university help desk and told there was a widespread general outage. That could have been affecting your site, from my traceroutes many different routes and sites were affected. It seems to be cleared up now, though, so if you are continuing to have this problem please submit a ticket. =) -
I can't help with this specific issue, however, I'd like to raise an issue. If you have *already* noticed this flaw - a huge gaping one, I think; then there could be others that would be of concern. I would personally look for another script that didn't have such problems. =) You can find thousands at hotscripts.com =)

Yes, it's installed at this location: /usr/local/bin. I am running gallery so it shouldn't be a problem for you to... it looks like it's missing the "convert" file though - not found error....
