OK...so I checked the MT installation instructions and it said that all cgi scripts should be set to 755. So, I tried to change the permission using cPanel but no matter what I tried (and I have successfully changed permission using cPanel before) nothing worked. It kept saying "permission denied" when trying to change the permissions from 0 to 755. What am I missing here?

I found that I was getting this error: "[2005-02-01 18:59:04]: error: file has no execute permission: (/home/danzfam/public_html/cgi-bin/mt-tb.cgi)" I also discovered that the permission to my "mt-tb.cgi" file are set to "0". Was this done by TCH in response to recent spamming? Is it safe to reset the permission on this file and to what should they be set?

A week ago my trackback was working perfectly. This morning somone tried to do a trackback with me and when they got the below error message. I get it now whenever I click on "trackback" anywhere on my site. I have changed nothing between the time it was working and now when it is not...so I'm inclined to think the server I'm on at TCH was tweaked (but that is a total guess on my part). Can anyone help? Here is the error message I get:

Never have trouble...I just pass out. One advantage of being seriously sleep deprived with only 3-5 hours many nights. Waking up is a b***h, but falling a sleep is a breeze.

I have FrontPage 2002 and was wondering what people thought about upgrading to 2003. Is it worth it? Does 2003 really offer that much more? I only upload using FTP which gives me the flexibility of uploading from anywhere so I don't/won't be using that aspect of the program. Thoughts?

I received an email just before 2:00 am this moring. Here is what the date of the email is in my inbox: I figured it was the senders server/computer that had the different date and that it would show up when I displayed the full header. But everthing in the header shows todays date the 17th (my domain changed to "domain"): Anyone have any input as to why the email is displayed with tomorrows date?

CPanel allows us to download the "Raw Access Logs." I am able to decompress them and view them in their raw format. However, this is fairly useless and there must be a way to view/analyze them locally offline. I've searched here and at http://www.awstats.org/ but cannot find any program to do this. So, how do I analyze the raw access logs locally offline? Is the raw format of the logs proprietary to awstats? Or, is the raw format universal and the customization comes in how the programs like awstats interpret and displays the data? Thanks

I seriously considered the host that was rated above TCH as they host a number of blogs that I frequent and admire. However, their prices and corresponding disk space and bandwidth are not even close that which TCH offers. In my definition of blog-friendly, cost is a significant friendliness factor. Taking everything into consideration: TCH is the #1 most blog friendly host !!!

I switched hosts to TCH last week and started receiving email at TCH on or before the 9th. For two or three days, some email directed to me@domain.com went to the new TCH based webmail account, while some when to my old host's webmail account. After the 12th or so, everything went through TCH and my old account which I can only access now through its IP address has sat empty. Until today the 15th. Today, for kicks, I checked my old account and it got a spam message received the 15th addressed to me@domain.com. How could this happen? Isn't everything everywhere changed over after a week such that any email directed to me@domain.com would go my new TCH web mail account?

I am humbled Bruce...you are correct. Is there a better or preferred place to submit such errors/suggestions?

No food provider does all three...it can’t be done. Accordingly, the alleged dinner can't be real. In fact, all of TCH can't be real because it excels at all three...quality, service and price. So, obviously the whole TCH business is a plot to...a plot to...OK, I haven't figured out what...yet. But, I will.
