OK, all my TCH email is unable to send but receives fine. Am submitting a ticket, will report back.

Outlook at work (because I have to), Squirrel Mail for my TCH site and Gmail otherwise.

Yes, gmail, which I've tested from two other non-gmail accounts and is working. I'm more technical than most, but not all that tech savvy...what is "mail.pm"?

Don't want to bother Tech Support yet, but today for no reason, my blog just stopped sending me notifications of comments. I hadn't changed anything. I got some this morning but this afternoon I saw I had a comment that I didn't get an email for. I did two test comments, one to an old post and one to my latest post and they appear just fine on the blog but I don't get email notifications. I double-checked my preferences and email address within the program and everything is fine. Anybody else see this or have any ideas? Will see if it fixes itself before asking in the MT Forums or submitting a tech ticket here.

Mine are generally short and almost always with a picture or two as I'm a very visual person and would rather read a magazine with pics than a book without. The content is about 1/3 family, 1/3 politics and 1/3 misc, I consider it a scrapbook for my family and friends. A while ago, I thought deeper about why I started the blog. In the prior, year my father died and my son was born. I got along great with my dad, but never had any deep conversations with him. In an odd way, I don't know a lot about him. I think at some level, I wanted to leave my son something that he could look at someday and know a little more about me.

Congratulations! I never knew how much my parents loved me until I had a child of my own. There is no greater joy.

I use the free services of both Extreme Tracker and Sitemeter. They provide slightly different stats which suit different needs. Sitemeter does hangup/timeout sometimes. Extreme Tracker very rarely does. One thing of note to the free version of Extreme Tracker is that the stats are publicly available unlike Sitemeter which is password protected even in the free version. But if that isn't a factor, then I would recommend it. I have tried a half dozen of the major trackers and finally decided on these two. I view Awstats almost daily, but these two trackers still conveniently provide me with data that I find useful.

Just so you can see what others are getting. You got me beat, but I know many of my visitors just check out my frequently updated homepage: Percent, Number of Visitors and Duration for 3 days of May 05: 75% 858 0s-30s 5.9% 068 30s-2mn 3.6% 042 2mn-5mn 3.5% 041 5mn-15mn 2.4% 281 5mn-30mn 4.3% 050 30mn-1h 3.4% 039 1h+ 1.4% 017 Unknown

1812 Overture without actual cannon fire...you might as well play the whole thing on a harmonica, washboard and jug.

If you'll look again, I've got that covered with Dogbert!

A) It's an iPod Mini 6GB and the prize is a Apple 20 GB iPod...a completely different item. B ) I am more familiar with iPods than people without one which makes me more appreciative of all their features and benefits which others can only dream about or experience tethered to an electronics counter under the watchful eye of a pimply counter attendant, all of which make me far more deserving of the full size version. C) A marriage with one iPod is not a happy marriage and thus in the interest of preventing marital strife I should win. D) Alternatively, someone obviously photoshopped that into the picture after I uploaded it in an attempt to sabotage my winning entry. I demand one Apple 20 GB iPod in compensation for this dastardly act against me.

That's going out to all my cat-lover friends. It's so obvious, I can't believe I haven't seen something like it before.

Thanks for the information. Awstats updated on the 4th and again on the 5th, so things are probably back to normal.
-
I had the same problem, no update from 1/31 to 2/4. I belive it was related to TCH server load. Appears all the stats were still collected though...so not a big deal.
-
It finally updated on the 4th. Not yet 24 hours, so I don't know about today. I don't see an update now function.

The one password option is not very secure. We all have many accounts such as forums (low security) and website logins (high security). You would not want to sign up for some forum run by a kid somewhere because you want to post about something and give that kid your contact info and your one and only password. With enough information that kid could sign into your email, your website or maybe a financial account and wreck havoc. Thus, while I don't have a different password for every login, what I use in forums is different that the complex alphanumeric password I use for my website or brokerage account.

Late to the thread but...I own danz.net, danz.biz and danz.us and just have them waiting in the wing as my blog/website is all at danzfamily.com which I got before the others became available to me. My son is almost 15 months...I can't wait until the day he realizes we own the domains...and asks what I'm using them for...nothing will be my response...there will be a pause...and then he'll ask if he can use one for a website of his own...here you go son, have at it.
-
I can wait. I'm pretty patient. As long as the info will eventually be there. I was just curious, because I had never seen them not update, and they had not updated for Feb 1 or Feb 2.

Snopes: That said, it does look like a Mac.

MY CPanel Awstats say "Last Update: 31 Jan 2005 - 16:13" It normally updates daily without exception. Is this part of the recent server work that is going on in response to blogosphere spamming? And, thus, I should just wait it out. Or, is this something I should submit a support ticket to get fixed?

I use SplashID to keep track of personal information such as usernames/passwords, account numbers, etc., which works on my PC and PalmPilot (Tungsten T). It uses 256-bit Blowfish encryption, which in layman's terms means, if I lose my PalmPilot, no one will be able to extract my information. This way I can have all my personal information, not just passwords, with me wherever I go.
