  1. I've installed phpSupport on my site. Very simple and basic. Nothing fancy; it just works.
  2. Wow... They say War puts a man through many changes, but... This is too much!
  3. Johnny? That you?
  4. Well gee, this is uhh... awkward.
  5. Mocha
  6. You can also install vbulletin in the root (public_html) directory and the domain will land you right at the forums.
  7. Here's a very compelling reason not to play with electricity: http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid=4468957986746104671
  8. Congrats Marie!
  9. Welcome to the forums Dan!
  10. I would recommend following the procedure Bob (Madman) above states, but instead of modifing the "txt" entry, modify the "lnk" entry. If one exists, I would say delete it (but we'll wait for more of a Windows expert to come along and verify this). Me, I'm a Unix/Linux guy so take my advice on Windows with a grain of salt.
  11. Very little... every time you turn around there's another commercial. Then again, that's most of the fun in watching the Super Bowl. It's become about as much of an American Pastime as baseball and hotdogs once were (lol).
  12. The only thing I can think of is if you upload the spreadsheet to your server, and if someone clicks a link to it, it will open in Excel (or OpenOffice, depending on what you have installed) on their computer. However any changes made to it would not go back to the server (unless they FTP'd is back). I don't know of a server-side spreadsheet solution.
  13. Ahh, ok thanks for the clarification Bruce.
  14. Another thing, IE doesn't support transparent images. I've got screen shots to prove it lol. Opera/FF/Mozilla display transparent images properly, however. And as FP uses the MSIE engine to display pages, that would likely be the source of your problem. Edit: At least I know for a fact it doesn't support transparent PNG's. I don't know about GIF's, don't use 'em.
  15. What you're talking about is a digital signature (which is used to verify that the person who says they sent it actually sent it). If you use Thunderbird as your mail client, check out Enigmail.
  16. Worked like a charm. I am rolling this out to my other sites as I speak. No more "forgetting" to do my nightly backup.
  17. Thanks click, I've added that parameter. It's scheduled to run at 3:30am Eastern, so I'll see if it works then.
  18. Thanks Mike I eagerly look forward to your revisions
  19. Bruce, I could do that, but I was hoping for a way to pass the directory parameters much the same way a manual backup does. I run backups for my 3 sites and have each stored in a seperate folder. I'd prefer not to add 3 user accounts to my backup server just for this but if it's all that can be done I will do that. Perhaps later I'll take a look at what's being passed to cpanel when you fill in the form for a manual backup.
  20. I forgot to ask, is there a way to specify in this script what folder on the remote FTP server to upload the backups to? I can do it when I do a manual backup through cpanel, but need a way to specify it through this script. Thanks!
  21. Also, another reason why you should FTP your backups (instead of store them on your server) is in the event of data loss, your backups will be lost as well. It's always a wise idea to store your backups on a different machine (and even burn them to a CD/DVD for longer term storage).
  22. Also, if you set permissions to 600 on the file, that should help as well.
  23. questionmark, I know TCH has a limit on the amount of email that can be sent out in a short amount of time. If you want to know the exact limit, you'll have to open a help desk ticket.
  24. No, that's a whole different set of SeaMonkeys
