Dreamweaver 4 at home and Dreamweaver MX at work. My very first site was made on Netscape Composer and I thought it was da bomb at the time I hate Frontpage - I think it's cumbersome for most functions although there are a handful of things that are more simple than in DW, and I hate all the Microsoft bs code it throws in. I tweak things in html, but most everything else is done in DW.

ROFL! Oddly enough, serving "virtual" brownies in an IRC chat room is how I nabbed my hubby. He didn't want walnuts on then so I "baked" up a pan just for him.

It never fails to amaze me how people who claim to be open minded are the ones who are always "offended" by people having opinions that differ from theirs.

Robert - I have The Sims and Livin Large. Unofrtunately all the sites out now have so many things I can't use (and don't label them well) that half my downloads end up crashing the game. Are all the newer expansions worth getting? I don't care about Sims online at all, but someday I wouldn't mind playing again. What do you think?

I am a Christian, and I certainly do not mean any offense, Lightkeeper, but honestly I don't think TCH's forums are really the place for specific religious discussions. It IS a business, and although we do discuss off-topic things in certain forums, you and I both know how political/religious or ANY controversial subjects don't tend to stay nice and friendly no matter how hard the forumkeepers try to make it that way. What I would suggest is to make a forum on your site (or for someone to on their site) and to advertise it in here if anyone is interested.

Hearing someone else's music is one of my biggest pet peeves. If I have thumping bass going through my house, day or night, I do not tolerate it. If they won't voluntarily turn it down, I just call the cops and be done with it. There is no consideration for others in this world anymore. <gets down off her soap box>

I need some advice please. I'm going to be adding alot of vacation pictures to my website soon, and I don't want to have to create thirty pages of 4-5 pics each, yet putting a large number of thumbnails on a page can be cumbersome for some dial-up users in my family. What would be a good (yet simple for this noob) way to show a large number of pictures or thumbs w/links with minimal load time?

Usually 4-7 hours a night for me during the week. I try to sleep alot more on the weekends if possible. Never had the cops come to my place at night, but we used to have a guy two or three houses down who would stop taking his medecine and would call the ambulence at all hours two or three times a month. After a few rounds of that, they started charging him for every call (evidentally his insurance refused to pay anymore). I don't know if he moved or went broke, but we rarely have any sirens on our street. I do have one very obnoxious neighbor across the street and two doors down I wish they'd haul away, but that's another story.

I'm soooo glad it's Friday! We're switching a huge (and I mean HUGE) dinosaur of a database over to a web-based program and the cleanup of data is taking forever! Add to that web work and records retention, and my days are flyin' by. Just had to take a five minute banana-and-TCH break though.

This is the last one tonight, I promise! Here is a pic of the gazebo at the Sandals Halcyon in St. Lucia. Couples who get married at the resort often have their receptions there. By the way, if anyone is thinking about traveling to a Sandals in St. Lucia, feel free to e-mail me at kristi@gryfalia.com and I'd love to tell you all about it or answer any questions.

This is a picture of the moon over the Sandals Regency in St. Lucia. I'm afraid my digital camera is a dinosaur at 1.3 megapixels, but one works with what one has. It was neat to see the moon there because we never see it at that angle here in Illinois.

OK, I'm feeling dense. How do you do the little thumbnail pic to have it open up the big pic?

Traeger & Associates: Nah - sounds pretentious, plus the T&A thing just wouldn't work as someone pointed out! Makes me think of a law firm The Traeger Group: I like, but it does sound big-city, like an investment firm. Hard choice there. Traeger Industries: Sounds too blue collar for what you want to do Traeger Consulting: Consultants charge too much Traeger Enterprises: I personally like this one. It doesn't sound haughty and it can cover alot of things. Traeger Technologies: It's ok, but overused IMO. Plus it is limiting. My quick 2cp before I head home for the day.

Speaking of phone companies and lousy business practices, when Verizon was GTE, they had a pay phone in my small town over by the water dept. One day someone who works there noticed that it was broken and would call anywhere for free. Being the good citizen they are, they reported it to GTE. Two months or so later, and several calls to GTE, this phone is STILL broken, but lo and behold, citizens of this small village of 1000 are all getting these mysterious phone calls on their bills to people and places they've never heard of. Not alot - just 2-5 calls on one bill. So if you weren't paying attention, you'd just pay it and never know. However, my parents always paid attention to the calls and when they told GTE they weren't theirs, they were basically called a liar. They had to push and shove and threaten legal action before GTE finally ADMITTED that they took those calls from the "free" pay phone they couldn't bother fixing and tacked them on to peoples' bills. Even after "fessing up" they CONTINUED to do it instead of fixing the @#$% phone! I think finally someone did something so it would be out of order to stop the stupidity. How GTE got away with it without being in deep doodoo I'll never know. Today they'd have lawsuits out the wazoo against them for such slimy practices. And go figure - today I have Verizon DSL, local, and long distance. heh

This may sound a bit corny (and has nothing to do with a website), but when my best friend graduated from nursing school, she was thrilled to receive a nice stethoscope. Perhaps a piece of medical equipment like that, or something to do with nursing would be a good gift? I get alot of graphics from sites on about.com's clip art pages. Almost all of them are free to use on a non-commercial site as long as you don't change them, and they just ask for a link back. Here are some links you might want to check out: http://www.mollieb.com/nursepoems.html http://www.care-nurse.com/poetry/nurse/ Good luck!
