  1. Actually, it's easier than that. Simply sign up here using the domain name that you will be receiving. You will be given information pertinent to publishing your site files and viewing your site without the need to use that domain name. Then, when the domain name is in your control/ownership, you simply change the DNS entries for the domain name to those given to you in the welcome email. Simple.
  2. Don't try to create new db through phpMyAdmin, instead us the Manage MySQL link in cpanel to create the db, create the user and assign the user to the db. Then all other functions can be done within phpMyAdmin. Hope that helps.
  3. Also, understand this difference between FP and TCH: With FP, when you register a domain name, YOU really don't register it, THEY do. Therefore, they place all contact info as their own then *should* give you access to change all pertinent info through their Helpdesk panel.... I have personal experience with this one and you're right, it ain't pretty. Even after changing information in that given panel, the info reverted back to their settings each day...4 in a row! With TCH, YOU are registering the domain. When you purchase it, you designate the information that will appear for Registrant, Admin, Billing contacts, etc. You are also given access to full control of your domain's registry entries via a control panel that YOU have username and password for, not TCH. So, TCH can't change your info, period. (Although, we can help guide you through the process.) Hope you enjoy it here at TCH!
  4. *YAY* Way to go, Surefire!
  5. Go here and follow the steps. Be sure to read EVERY word of the instructions and cautions. Also, ensure that your Admin contact email on record at netsol is NOT associated with your domain. In other words, the Admin contact for ****** should NOT be you@******. You may need to make that change at Netsol before begining the Transfer process. Be aware that transfers are not immediate and may take 5-10 working days.
  6. Turtle, The trick to vac-n-freeze is that the defrost has to be quick also...I dump the beans onto a cookie sheet in a single layer and place in a 175 degree oven for about 15-25 minutes till just warmer than room temp. Then vac in mason jars till ready to use. Keeps the moisture content without the rubber feel (I know what you're talking about). ...I bet TCH customers never thought they'd get to read the science of coffee on their web host's forum!
  7. See? That's why you have to meet in the middle ground! So, my hubby bought me one of those Swiss engineered espresso machines for my birthday 2 years ago. I use bulk Millstone beans from Sam's Club that I vacuum seal and freeze. The Hershey's is a bit extravagant I suppose, but I have also used Girardelli Sweetened Cocoa....cup per cup, they are actually about the same price. Grand total per day for my kicks: $.21* That includes the freezer/icemaker with built-in crusher and in-door dispenser. Does NOT include the price of the maker...it was a gift, so gimme a break! Since the only Starbucks you can get in these hills is the bottled junk from the convenience store (awful by the way), at $1.69/bottle, I've found that my homemade alternative is better, cheaper, faster and more accessible. Maxwell House? Gosh that stuff's rock gut. Just try some of the good Gevalia sometime Bill.
  8. Start the morning right: Triple shot espresso (from dark French roast fresh ground) 2 cups of crushed ice 3 tablespoons of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup (always fat free) Stir, drink with a straw for increased speed of consumption. WHAAAAA....away we go.
  9. Scott, Indeed, Trellix (now CuteSITE Builder) do NOT allow the direct manipulation of HTML. See, the html is not even created until the moments before publishing (with it's built in FTP app). Using Trellix you insert html via "Build Your Own Web Gem" and with CSB, it's "Insert > HTML" However, in both apps, if you right click on the page in the map area, and select Properties > Page, you can insert your Keywords in the dialog box that presents itself. Title, Keywords, Description and Author are all entered via that dialog.
  10. Welcome Home!
  11. Even easier than that... through cPanel, you simply set the "Default Address" Then any email that comes to your domain to an address that does not specifically exist, will be redirected to that specified default address. Example, I have a .us domain name. I simply set that default address to my primary account at the .com domain. Boom, all mail to the .com address.

    Imap Mail

That's actually a quite broad question. Webmail, in the form of Neomail and Horde, are provided for you here and are IMAP clients. Some clients have also installed Squirrelmail. Is there a more specific requirement that you have that we can look into for you?
  13. I never got no stinkin' certificate! I want my certificate!
  14. Drizzit, did you get a welcome email or other correspondence from TCH about your order yet? Please let me know. Sorry that your post wasn't responded to earlier.
  15. Way to jump in there leezard!
  16. http://www.brownbearsoftware.com/calcium/ The Demo version can be used for a single calendar and displays the link back to brownbear. Otherwise, can be purchased for multiple calendar implementation and other cool addins.
  17. Mr. Bill, Commonly in my house, that is referred to as a blatant hijacking! My peaves about this: 1. While the string is active, I can't do one blasted thing on my pc! It's MY pc. I paid for it. I want to do what I want to do when I want to do it and have every right to that! 2. They are stealing my precious, high priced bandwidth! Again, I paid for it and I get to choose how it is utilized, not the ads! 3. The ads that are typically in these things usually fire off a sequence of blocks by AdAware! Not only do they steal my pc processor and my bandwidth, but then they go put cr@p on my machine that I never gave permission to get downloaded or dropped on. Spyware or dataminers galore and it's nobody's business but my own! (Yep, this one really erks me! ) 4. A good place to hid autodialer viruses, so AVG usually fires off, too! All in all, by the time that string has finally ceased, and I have cleaned my machine to the point were I'm feeling safe again, I've just spent about an hour of time that I don't get paid for (yes, it happens at work sometimes). Bottom line, I have a list of sites that I refuse to go to because I've been *hijacked* by the ad-string. Please don't let me add your site to that list? *Off soapbox* Thanks for listening.
  18. Ok, let's give everyone else the benefit of learning from YOU.... What was the question and what is the answer?
  19. KW, Yep, been there for a long time. And it is VERY handy for those trying to help manage multiple users' mail accounts. Please note this feature is available in Horde, not Neomail. The folders will also show you the Neomail mailbox contents, too though.

    Php

Hey Curtis, can you show us what it looks like? There's another post here looking for a site map. Thanks.
  21. You're very welcome. It looks like your cats and dogs have migrated my way today too! Rain should be ending this morning but I'm afraid not until after my scheduled lesson with the Club Pro. But, hey, rain only melts witches and sugar, right? Cya.
  22. Nightly backups are made, but then overwritten the following night. So, if you don't catch it and get it corrected the same day, the backup isn't going to be much good to you. Please keep in mind that the primary goal of the nightly backups is to restore in case of drive failure, not a goofed or corrupted file/db. That's just an added benefit if caught in time. I can't answer your IPB question except to say that this board is run with it and doesn't experience such problems. Your better resource may be the IPB forums: http://forums.invisionpower.com/
  23. You could set a redirect to that address to :FAIL: and it would kill all messages that came to that address automatically. Now, the keywords there are kill ALL messages.
  24. I dunno. I installed phpChat long ago just to see what it looked like. Will have to revisit the topic I suppose. In the mean time, you may be able to edit the config.lib.php3 file. I do not know the full contents of that file, I just ran accross some other parameters that were defined there (through a Google search). You'd have to dig deeper to see if that's the actual answer. Post back and let us know.
