  2. Please know that there are three judges, each with schedules and committments. We know you are anxious to find out who the winner is, but please be patient. We'll get the post up here as soon as possible!

  5. That was a problem with the forum. Not really a problem... This thread explains it. Anyway, problem solved and we have your original post and entry that was made inside the deadline. Not to worry.

  11. If that backup puts you over your limit, then you're over. No temp, because the file would not automagically be removed, putting you lower than your limit.
  12. While they couldn't set up the autoresponder completely by themselves, they could do the big part of the work.... When an autoresponder is created through cPanel, here's what actually happens: 1. a folder in the root of the account called .autorespond is created if it does not already exist 2. a text based file is created in /.autorespond with the following (sample) content: That file is named: >test@**** Knowing that, you could create a work process for the staff such that they each have their own copy of an appropriate txt file named with their email address. Have them edit the content of the file and email it to you. You FTP the file to the root /.autoresponder directory and you're done...until they change or choose to delete their autoresponder...then you're back to work. A variation to that them is that you create an ftp account with access into the /.autoresponder directory and that person is responsible for the updating, etc. Given all that info, maybe somebody else's brain might get creative and come up with a better solution for you.

  14. rune, TotalChoice™ Online Instant Support Chat is near the bottom of that page. Chat a guru there or PM me and I'll get you into the helpdesk.
  15. Hey guys, sorry for not getting this *edit* put on yesterday, but....after Rick did some checking and confirming (thanks): For any reseller account, upon request via the Helpdesk, TCH can setup ns1.resellersdomain.com and ns2.resellersdomain.com using the TCH IP's for ns1.totalchoicehosting.com and ns2.totalchoicehosting.com The the owner of the resellersdomain.com will make the necessary addition with their registrar, using the TCH IP's. Now what that does: 1. Reseller tells resolds to use ns1 and ns2.resellersdomain.com 2. If you use the browser to go to ns1.resellersdomain.com, it will resolve to TCH...NOT the reseller's home page! Just another choice being made available.
  16. OMG! Curtis, you mean that Cox would let you use your own outgoing mail server if you upgraded to a different plan?????? Oh, man! What a way to make money! "We're gonna block port 25 and anybody that wants it un-blocked can pay us double!" Sound like something Bell would do, too!
  17. Fast! *YAY* Can this move possibly explain the missing attached files and some uploaded avatars not showing?
  18. Just a reminder: Entries will be accepted until 11:59pm (GMT-6) on June 20, 2003.
  19. gacain is my hero! Thumbs Up ditto ditto ditto (my opinion, not necessarily that of TCH and TCH cannot be held responsible for my opinion....and all that other disclaimer stuff. )
  20. Thanks for the email. I hope you don't mind my posting the reply here. If you purchase the Standard or Deluxe Reseller packages, you may request 2 dedicated IP's for the creation of your own name servers using your own domain name. In that instance, your clients would use ns1.letmehostyoursite.com and ns2.letmehostyoursite.com. If you choose not to create your own name servers for use by your clients, you may use the generic name servers created by TCH. However, if you purchase the Simple or Basic Reseller packages, your clients will use the generic name servers created by TCH. These nameservers are very nondescript so your clients won't blatantly see TCH branding on their WhoIs. If you still have questions, please post them here so that others can learn from them too, okie? Thanks!
  21. Yes, you are referring to Shared SSL. In that circumstance, the hosting company owns the certificate and the virtual clients are allowed to use that cert for secure data (such as your form). It IS included with the $4.00 account and all of the other single domain accounts, but not any reseller accounts. As stated above, with a reseller account, you would need to purchase your own certificate and have it installed here. Hope that helps clarify.
  22. Chat: Some feedback here about chat clients. The cPanel documentation regarding Entropy Banner: Entropy Banner Uploading New Banners And the rest of the cPanel docs can be found here. Hope all that helps somehow.
  23. Well, I must say this is getting to be one really BIG family! Glad to be a part of it. (Hey, Dad? Can I borrow the car tonight? )
  24. Having your own name servers is only available in the Standard and Deluxe Reseller accounts. Sorry.
  25. There are two methods for access your cPanel, but both require use of ports that may be blocked in some firewalls. Unsecured: http://******:2082 or Secured: https://******:2083 Sorry, but to my knowledge there are no other alternative connections to cPanel.
