AdAware! Great free spyware protection. Alexa has a target on its back and AdAware will kill it quickly. Too much Big Brother? That's not a brother, it's a violation of my privacy and done without my consent. Alexa users beware the data being shared about you and your browsing habits. (And I don't use that emoticon much either!)

Whaaa! That's a great idea!

If one does not exist in the directory that you wish, then simply create a txt based file called .htaccess and place it in the directory. As to what to put in your .htaccess file, you can search here and on the helpsite and on google. There are a ton of resources available for helping with .htaccess. Your FTP access/options MAY be affected, but it really depends how you set up the .htacess file.

Also, Whare, this is a coding/scripting issue not a server issue. So, I'm moving this post to the appropriate forum.

Ok, so the config file shows the definition of 'filepath', but what I'm asking for is what is supposed to happen at that filepath? Look through your php page to find references for filepath and see what's happening. Is that supposed to be a local or server path? Is the script trying to use the filepath to define where to get info from the server systems or is it a destination location for some info of some kind? Dunno if this will help, but one of my php apps references: /home/myusername/public_html/myappfolder/

I love this quote! I hope you don't mind my taking your advice into my own life and family. My mother always put it a little differently, but to the same end, "If you don't vote, you can't complain."

Are you sure that 's what it should look like? That example would apply if the system path is local, but not for the server. Can you please give us some more details of what it is you are trying to implement?

Great information Library on viruses and hoaxes: McAfee Avert I check every warning I get from emails. Then I reply back to the sender and the folks that also received it with me. First line of the email always reads, "DO NOT FORWARD HOAX VIRUS WARNINGS!" Virus hoaxes can be just as detrimental at the real thing. Especially if they contain *cleaning* instructions. Unwitting recipients cause their own demise by following the instructions blindly. (I'll tell you a funny story about my Dad someday. ) Hope this post helps to enlighten someone.

Pat, PM me with your name and domain name and I will get your helpdesk access for you.

Oh my gosh. HG showed considerable restraint! He waited till page two to proclaim his *dislike*. So my penny worth: I don't know blogs, don't do blogs, had a bad experience with phpnuke install (pre-cpanel) and then discovered: PostNuke. Inside 20 minutes, I had it installed (THE easiest install I have ever done) and a calendar pluggin, theme change, and some playing with the workings of it. Not saying it's the best or even good, but it sure was easy to get started for someone completely unfamiliar with the whole concept.

Welcome Home *26*! Glad to see ya online.

*YAY* Once I saw the content of the .sql I realized that it could just be dumped straight in phpMyAdmin. Glad you figured it all out and reported back to let us know!

Glad you're happy here and sending all your buddies to us. -
Hi. First, thanks for considering TCH. If you would like to host multiple SITES (each with their own domain) then you will need separate accounts for each or a reseller account. If you would like to host a single site that has multiple domain names pointed to the same index page, then you may do this with any package. After sign up with the main account, just let the helpdesk know what other domain names you want pointed. Hope that helps.

It does sound like the file itself is not getting uploaded to the server. You may try manually (via FTP) uploading the backup file and then run the restore from that copy. Here's my best guest for an error that would occur DURING the restore: Because shared hosting also shared MySQL, your old host's db name/table names are different than they need to be here. Example, if your old host shared the same way we do here, then your db name would be *username_dbname* and chances are really good that your username here is not the same as your username there. Thus, MySQL doesn't really know how to do a restore on some thing it can't define, so to speak.

KW has a barebones of that on his site showing only how many users are currently online. I don't know what it's made of or anything, but you can see it here: http://kwsupport.com/csb

Vanilla .htaccess file is just an empty text file saved as ".htaccess" No biggie. ...now the Chocolate one is another story... -
Sorry, but that's not nearly enough info for us to help. Can you please provide us with some context? What script are you running, from where, to do what? Give us a link to any pages on your site or elsewhere that may be of benefit in understanding your issue. Thanks!
-
Yeah, use Turtle's link. Looks like my link goes to an old page. Sorry.

The return message doesn't tell us *who/where* is turning it back. If we could see the header info it would be better. Also, is it only from people using a specific ISP or is it ANY one sending the file type getting bounced?
-
Pat, please submit a helpdesk ticket about this with as many details as you can. You may also want to include the body/headers of one of the spam mails you are getting.
-
Hmm. I personally haven't tried this out but there are some folks I know that swear by it: Phorm and Phorm Jr. Stick with it! You'll get it all figured out.
