I'm not sure where you could change the config option that sets phpBB path. I can't find it in the database or config.php Does anybody know where it is? Yesterday I did notive you had a directory called "forum" and now I can see that's the source of the problem: you messed up the two instalations. I'd say the safest way to solve it is to delete both "forum" and "forums" directories and start again...

Man, I fixed it all for you last night, why did you have to go and break it again? Just kidding I really don't know what's wrong but it's a bit strange. There may be some way of doing it directly with Apache or some authentication module for it. I don't know any but it's possible, I guess. Otherwise, I'd do it like you described, with a PHP script, for example

I just tried uploading BlueIce to a phpBB forum I have on a site and it appears on the list of styles to install.

If you realized the problem was with FrontPage, why do you blame Ultimate Form Mail? I only used FrontPage 98 for two days, I hated it so much that it became the second thing I always delete as soon as I install any Windows system (the first is the Messenger folder) Try looking in the options dialogs, or something. You can change the directory permissions via the cPanel's file manager or using an FTP client. I strongly suggest the FTP client. There's no other way to do it (well, there is but it's much more complicated). But don't worry too much about it, it's not that serious, anyway. Everyone uses it in shared hosting environments when they need to upload files through scripts.

Well, if you did everything correctly as you say you did, then the style should appear. There's not much I can add to the discussion since I never used that skin and you didn't provide the URL to your forum. Make sure you uploaded the files with the correct name. Like Thomas said, file names are case-sensitive (as you have see with the logo, this can be the cause of big problems, if you don't know what you're doing). Also make sure that you uploaded ALL the files. Check the permissions on the template folder and make sure that everyone has read access to it. They should be OK but just in case... That's about all I can say. I'm also sending you a PM.

Yes, if you change the permissions on the folder to allow everyone to write to it, it should work. Do keep in mind that this may represent some danger, as you are allowing any user in the server to write to that directory.

My first suggestion would be to forget the idea of using 100% Flash content on your site, unless the *whole* site is made in Flash - and by this I mean that it's just one Flash file in one HTML file, not various HTML files, one for each section of your site and each with a Flash file in it. The various sections of the site could then be loaded dynamically within the main Flash file itself. But I would still recommend having an alternative HTML-only version, for those people who can't/won't see Flash movies on their browser.

rbb213, I haven't used MS Access in years but doesn't it allow you to export your DB into an SQL file? If so, you can try to import that SQL file into MySQL using phpMyAdmin, although knowing Microsoft's way of doing things, I'd bet they use some proprietary "SQL" that is not compatible with other DB engines...

I agree, Robert. Water is water... unless it hasn't been cleaned very well... That's my only concern: the diseases and infections one might get from drinking water that hasn't been treated as it should. It's an eery thought, knowing that you're drinking stuff that has been in your neighbour's toilet before, or in the local hospital....

Dida, the latest version of MT isn't free and they have a support section for their customers. They even have a page just about upgrading Movable Type. If you have already installed MT once, it shouldn't be hard for you to upgrade it.

Mike, I have installed Coppermine once on my account and it ran just fine using /usr/local/bin as the path to ImageMagik... err... actually, I can't remember if the path was /usr/local/bin or /usr/bin... I think it was /usr/local/bin
