cPanel has a PHP API available. I can't seem to find it now but if you search their forums with a bit more time and patience (I'm writing this as I dress my coat, I have to go out and I'm already late), I'm sure you'll find it.

Jim Sewell already said what I was going to say And I'd also like to add that if you're targeting Netscape and you say your sites work fine with it, then they should work fine with Firefox, because they both use the same HTML engine. Sometimes Netscape is a little behind Firefox, so you could even say that your sites aren't working on Firefox due to some bug introduced in a more recent version of Gecko (Netscape's and Firefox's HTML engine) used by Firefox, that doesn't affect Netscape. But that's even more risky, because Netscape is constantly releasing new versions of their browser, based on the newer versions of Gecko, meaning that sooner or later, your sites *will* break on Netscape (and look out, Netscape has just released a new beta version of their browser). Anyway, as Jim said, if you do believe there is something wrong with Firefox's HTML engine and not your code, you could let us know what it is so we could report it to Mozilla and they can get it fixed

As Thomas said, you can only have one cpanel login but you can have multiple FTP accounts, each with it's own username/password.

Jim, can you point me to those sites? If there's nothing wrong with the code, perhaps I know of some trick to make them work properly with Firefox.

With all due respect, Jim and Rick, if Firefox doesn't render the pages as you expected, I'm 99.9% sure it's your fault, not Firefox's And I can say the same about the problem you had, Rick. 99.9% of the time I have problems with Firefox, it's simply because the guy who made the site that's giving me the problems simply did not know how to make the site correctly, following web standards. These sites usually use IE-specific coding or assume things are supposed to work as they work on IE when IE's behavior is actually faulty - but then you think that's the correct way for the site to work and code it that way and when it doesn't work on other browsers, you think it's their fault. What I usually do is one of two things: 1 - If it's a site that I don't need to use/visit, I simply close the window and forget about it. Tough luck for the site owner, that's one visitor less he/she'll get. 2 - If I really need to use/visit the site, I either find an alternative or send an e-mail to the site owner explaining what he should change in his site and why. Just my two cents.

Arvind, as far as I know, it has always been installed, because it gets installed along with cpanel - cpanel itself needs it for mailman (the mailing list manager) which, as Mike said, is written in python

Bob, you really love to prove that IE isn't the only piece of software in the world, meaning it's not the only thing prone to be attacked, don't you? I'm glad this bug only crashes the browser instead of allowing dozens of spyware/malware/trojans to be installed...

That's probably because of some security enhancements to PHP. Basically, the configuration was changed so that scripts could not access files everywhere. You need to open a help desk ticket, tell them you want to use ImageMagick and ask if they could add it's path to the open_base_dir configuration directive of PHP.

Well, maybe you can access the files via FTP but you can't access the OSC control panel in order to edit the affiliates page... I'm totally lost, here... can you detail your problem a little more, please?

OK, now I understand your problem from the other thread, too: you can't access your site via FTP. How did that happen? Aren't you the owner of the site?

I'm lost... assuming you're the owner of that site, how come you don't have the permissions to do that? You mean you don't have the permissions to access the files via FTP?

You mean this one? That page is stored as "/public_html/catalog/affiliates.php", so that's probably the file you need to edit. But that looks like OSCommerce and I think OSC has a way to edit the affiliates page... can't tell for sure, since I don't use it, though.

Sorry, I don't use MT, so I really can't help you I do know we have some MT users aboard, so they may be able to help you. Doesn't MT have some support forums where you may look for the answer to the problem? I know MT moved to a commercial license when they bumped their version to 3.0, so the forums are probably for the commercial clients... :\

Are you using a shoping cart script, like OSCommerce and want to add a "free shipping" banner/note? Or do you simply want to add that to a static HTML page? Either way, it should only be a matter of editing the HTML code for the pages you want the banner/note to appear.

Allow me to disagree, Alan. People may be able to download Flash but they may not be able to install it if, for example, the sysadmin of their company locked that possibility Also, the site map isn't there to provide a navigational map for people who don't have Flash installed - at least it shouldn't be. A site map is supposed to show you how the web site's sections are organized. Of course you can navigate the site through it but that's not it's main purpose. Also, just because most webhosts have a Flash menu doesn't mean TCH can/should have one too. IMHO, it would be better if it didn't, not only because of all the things that have already been pointed but also because it would show TCH does care about its customers and visitors, it would show that TCH wants to make things right, not just be like most other web hosts. And last but not least, I sincerely hope you don't but if someday you find yourself in the seat of one of those people who are not part of that "most users" group, come talk to me and tell me how you feel about websites that don't provide you with an easy way to navigate them. Another interesting experience would be for you to help someone with a disability (someone severely motor impaired, ot someone with really poor vision or, even better, somone blind) use a computer to browse the web. Give it a try. You'll see what I mean. EDIT: I should note that despite my (constructive) critics about the Flash menu, as I said above, I think Mike did a GREAT job on the site remodelation.
