You could try a site like www.dotcom-monitor.com they offer a light version for free that can send a message to your cell phone. I believe the free service is only if your web site is down. They offer more premium services for a fee.

If you use cPanel to create your subdomain before creating a folder it will create it (the folder) for you. Just an FYI.

I have found that the validators do not like the Alt + 0169 symbol and prefer the © instead.
