My question is why would someone try this in the first place? Did their money fall into the wash?!!

One more idea. If you did a redirect in the main folder to a sub folder and placed all web content in there, you could web protect it for sure.

Hmm, well I can't change either of my domains to test it but when you go into Web Protect the root folder is already selected. Not sure if it will work or not, maybe one of the TCH techs knows.

Not sure if this is the answer to your question but if you go into cpanel and select Web Protect and select your root folder you can then add users and passwords the will prompt a login box to appear before they can enter your site. If this isn't the answer you were looking for, please provide more info and we'll try to help.

My compnaies domain was purchased through Network Solutions. At the time they were one of the only ones doing domain registrations. Never moved it anywhere since. Next time it comes do I will take it to GoDaddy.

I think it's still there because it comes as part of cpanel. But TCH no longer allows anonymous FTP to be used.

Check the specs and make sure it also supports +/- R. From the burns I have done and from reading the forums over there for the last year there are issues with all the different formats and which drives will work with each one. You may be able to burn onto a +RW but you will have difficulity playing the movie later on a different reader. Also be prepared to make a lot of coasters Yes, it does. it will do DVD -R, DVD +R and DVD -/+ RW as well as CD-R and CD-RW. I was told to try -R discs which seem to be the most portable format. What I was told, haven't burned any yet. Still trying to get the machine configured with what was on the old pc. Now the same person is telling me +R is more compatible. Does anyone here know which is more compatible?

We just bought a new desktop Sony RS-530 that has a DVD Rom and DVD +/- RW burner in it. I also picked up a copy of DVD XCopy Express last weekend after reading they had to stop selling it. haven't got the machine completely configured yet but close. Been working on it the last two evenings. Can't wait to try the DVD copy.

I've been using CuteFTP Pro for years. Used WS_FTP prior to buying a copy of CuteFTP Pro.

Robert, Why not use two folders (directories)? One for hotlink enabled images and one for images you don't care if they get hotlinked? I know it would be more work because you would have to change all your links to the images but it would be less confusing, I think.
