  1. I get them too. I do have permanent redirects and those appear as well. I've never worried about them. I've never seen them either.
  2. Bill from the error it looks like it's not taking into account the MIME type for a .jpg. I had a script I used to use that used binmode to upload. This scipt required the CGI.pm module.
  3. Welcome to the family, Sherie! Don't know if this will answer your question but I guess you are trying to find out how many times that particular file has been accessed (or downloaded). If you go to the section in AwStats labeled Pages-URL will show every file accessed in your domain. The top 25 are listed but there is a link in the heading of that section to view the full list. If this is not what you are looking for please let us know.
  4. Links to images make the most sense and would save on bandwidth. People that knew what you were talking about may or may not click to view the image. It would also be a plus for people on dial-up. Yes, I've discovered there are still people out there without a broadband connection.
  5. $600 for hardware and filters? With who? I have an SBC DSL connection, the modem was $99 (waived fee) and all filters were free. So there was no hardware charge for this installation. Of course I live in a metropolitan city.
  6. The 404 error is the page that would display when someone comes to your site and entered an incorrect page name or someone is linking to page on your site that doesn't exist. If you have not created a custom error page you will get this error anytime someone accesses something that doesn't exsit in your domain. The robots.txt file is used by serach engine spiders and can control what content on your site gets listed.
  7. youneverknow, I think you are correct. Sorry Drew. And also welcome to the family. It would be difficult to say how far 300mb would go. It depends on multiple factors. First factor all of your web pages and images. Then if you are running a forum you would have to factor that in. Any other MySql databases, cgi scripts, php scripts, amount of email being stored on the server, etc... And bandwidth would include all ftp, web access (how popular is your website? do you offer downloads? etc) and email in and out.
  8. Welcome to the family, Bill! You will soon discover that you have not made a mistake coming here and making this place your home!
  9. Check out the Hosting Plans page.
  10. That would be my understanding of it. Only domains have cPanels not subs.
  11. I believe that there is no separeate cPanel for subdomains. Subdomain management is handled through the root cPanel. Moved to cPanel forum for better visibility.
  12. Yes, open a Help Desk ticket (link above) and they can point your second domain to your first. And Welcome to the family, jschlunt!
  13. SA = Spam Assassin. Yes, I would keep it on. You configure Spam Assassin thorugh cPanel. But I know you can create rules to white list certain email addresses. White listing an email address will tell SA to ignore checking the email and let it through. Check the documentation in cPanel, lower left corner there is a link. But I would try and find out why you are getting the message as Mike (Big Gorrila) states above.
  14. George, you're welcome. The reason I asked if Spam Assassin was turned on was to find out if the format of your email was what was causing the message you were getting. Maybe the settings are set to high in SA and catching your message. If you are getting the message, some of your respondents will also get the message depending on whether or not they are using SA or another spam detection software.
  15. I'm going to move this to the proper forum.
  16. OK, PDF should not be a probelm. Do you have SPAM Assassin turned on? How are the messages formatted? If the problem persists I thnk the next thing to do would be open a help desk ticket (link above) and let one of the techs have a look.
  17. I see no problem with this unless you exceed your bandwidth. You should be fine.
  18. Are you sending attachments?
  19. I didn't hear anything but the flash Hawaii movie played. Don't know much about flash but there is only one embedded flash file in your HTML page. Don't know if that helps you. Welcome to the family, henroo! Maybe someone more familiar with flash will be able to help.
  20. heat
  21. I hope you meant http://vcards.facciolli.com Not sure about the counter since the link doesn't load the page. The counter isn't really necessary since you can get more accurate counts using AwStats in cPanel. Just an opinion.
  22. Arvind, in cPanel select the IP Deny Manager function and enter 217.5.100.* That should block them for you.
  23. Welcome to the family, Ed! Anymore questions, just ask.
  24. Welcome to the family, stu! Gald you made the decision to stay. We are here to help.
  25. Looks real to me!
