Don, I had to do something. I get anywhere from 250-400 SPAM messages a day. It was becoming unmanagable. These are my work accounts and cannot be changed for fear of losing business. So this solution is working great so far. At least until the spammers find a way around Spam Assassin.

Well that's what I was doing with a program called K9 (keir.net/k9.html). I didn't use Spam Assassin and was just using K9. This program sits between your email client and the mail server. When you check for mail it preprocesses it and just tags the header which you can filter on to move to another folder. It worked but I wanted to just eliminate the messages from coming in. That's where Spam Assassin is going to help. Now that I am satisfied that good email is not being tagged I will change the filter from moving them to the spam@**** address to just discard them. I will keep K9 running between my email client and the server to catch the ones that Spam Assassin misses.

Looks orange on my screen too. The problem is you are using a non-websafe color. The only way to keep it appearing the same on all monitors is to use websafe color. Do a search of the forum there has been discussion lately about using web safe colors.

OK, I've been reading this thread and I am a programmer of accounting software and bombarded with inept users that don't follow instruction or read documentation every day. Does that mean I am to blame for writing the software, or they are just to dumb to use it. I think it's time people start taking responsibility for what they do. If you opened an email attachment and got infected with a virus it's YOUR fault. Everyday we are warned of virus threats running rampant on the net in the media (print, tv, radio, etc...). I know people that have purchased computers that came with virus software preloaded. They were told to keep the software definitions updated, they were taught how to keep the software updated. Yet they still get infected. Why is the fault of M$ or anyone else but themselves? Well, sorry to disagree on this one, I WANT to blame the end users - and I DO!

Something like: http://xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/~yourcpanelname Since you say you have just signed up over the weekend it could be a domain propogation issue. I can see your site file from here.

I'm using this setup here for my Spam Assassin configuration and it's working quite well. Thanks ScooterB! This will catch spam for all your email addresses. I configured Spam Assassin to not rewrite the header. When I download the spam mail, the Spam Assassin report is what I see and the original email is an attachment. Since I set it up this way, it has not caught one false positive so now I am thinking about just discarding the spam instead of looking at it.

I had to check the daylight savings is in effect checkbox in my user controls for it to display the correct time. Thought it would be automatic.

Actually it had a few stats from the previous month. Since I am not sure what time the logs are cleared I would expect this. And a few stats from the current month would be in the next archive for the same reason.

Nat, LINUX is an operating system. Red Hat is just one version of Linux. Apache is a web server program that runs on Linux and other operating systems. Jus trying to help.

Say you wanted to get another domain name, and another and yet another. With a reseller account you just purchase the domains and add them. As long as you don't exceed the bandwidth and storage limits of your reseller account. If you had individual accounts, you would have to purchase additional hosting plans. This is just my opinion and not necessarily TCH's. I feel the main reason you cannot point domain names to your subdomains is TCH does not oversell their servers. In doing this everyone has an extremely fast site since the servers are not over taxed with an excessive amount of domains. Second is the cost of these accounts. For $4 or $5 how many domains would someone try to host. This could easily kill a sever if everyone on that server was able to point 10, 20, 100, 1000 domains to their account. Like I said this is my opinion, and I for one an glad that TCH has this policy in effect.

I am a customer and not an employee of TCH but my understanding is you can have your domain hosted. You could buy additional domains and park them on top of your first domain. You cannot purchase a domain name and point it to a subdomain. A reseller account is what you would probably need.
