Attempt To Sign Up For Hosting Called "fraudulent"
TCH-Dick replied to glyphdoctor's topic in Pre-Sales Questions
Try it now, I've added your IP address to the allowed IP's. Our software scores the probablility of fraud on a scale from 0-100% Since you used a card thats issues in the US from an overseas IP you scored high enough that our software rejected it. -

If the server is in fact down, the redirect would not work. If the e-mail cant get to the server, the server cant redirect it.

Squirrelmail Users Port 80 - Read Please

I wasnt getting defensive, but you are compaing apples to oranges. a standalone install that serves one account is of course going to be faster than one that serves an entire server. You simply cant compare the two. -

OK, one more try since I know there is no configuration issue on server 74, it is set up exactly like every other server we have. If you go to taco bell at 3AM and your the only person there, you get in line and get right out. Because you are the ONLY person being waited on, nobody has to help anyone but you. If you go back to that same taco bell at noon the next day during lunch hour, first you wait in line until its your turn, then when you finally get to the counter you wait for them to take your order. once your order is placed you wait again for them to make it, then you spen 5 minutes looking for a place to sit down. If a server is "busy" it takes longer to get your order, if you have a server dedicated to just serving you, of course its going to be faster. There is nothing wrong with server 74, If I posted the exact same thing about server 23 or server 56 other ppl would say "yeah its slow sometimes for me to" It is slow sometimes because it is a shared server, if the server is busy it might take a few seconds to process, just like if you go to taco bell when its busy it takes a few minutes. -

There is a difference in an install of SQmail that is for one account/domain name and an installation that is shared across an entire server. Since the one we provide is shared there is a LOt of security checks involved which is why it appears slower than your standalone install. It not a misconfiguration. -

TCH-Dick replied to Barbara's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
The domain name IS frozen, you have to renew it with http://www.dotregistrar.com/ then after it is renewed through them you can transfer it to us after 30-60 days, depends on what dotregistrars policy is. -

Bruce is correct, your site is still up but your domain name has expired. You will have to contact dotregister.com to renew your domain name. you can access your site here http://server29.totalchoicehosting.com/~pattonu2/ -
Our servers run the current stable release of cpanel which is 9.4.1 - Stable We do upgrade things like Perl, PHP etc when they NEED to be upgraded. We dont upgrade to a new verions as soon as it is released simply because most new releases have just as many bugs as they have fixes. Running the newest version of something doesnt always mean running the best. If it aint broke dont fix it. If there is an upgrade that has significant benefits or improvements of course we upgrade, but we dont upgrade something just for the sake of upgrading it. We have no plans to include fantastico on our servers, most of the scripts in fantastico have little or no support, many of them arent even maintained anymore (last time I checked) We do not provide support for 3rd party scripts, since many of the scripts in fantastico dont have support available, we would rather not provide something our members cant get help with. The 30 day gurantee is just that, if you dont like the service and cancel within 30 days you get a full refund. If you cancel after 30 days you would not get a refund for the current month, but if you had paid for a year in advance you would be refunded the unused balance. We do not prorate refunds, so no refunds for partial months. You can find links to several customer sites here http://totalchoicehosting.com/web-hosting-family.html
