Do you have an apache server installed on your computer?
and are you going to the form page as http://localhost/folder/filename?
With out your own server php files will not run and may open with whatever owns the php extension.
On my computer that is also firefox.

file > publish
be sure to set the publishing address to
ftp://your-domain.ext/public_html/

you can always copy db1 to another folder on your computer and rename it to db2
and then upload it in cpanel > backup
As this is so compressed it will be faster than using MySqL

do you connect by domain or IP
