  1. with your hint I found something! I usually connect to internet through windows explorer. the problem only occurs there. It's interesting and I can live with it By the way installing movabletype to tch was way easy non-of database or other concerns happened. Cpanel is really great. This forums are great. thanks
  2. also, when i login from the popup I have to click rebuild button first and then click to upload button to have the access.
  3. no. I use IE. The website is installed at home and I have the exact same problem. Before moving everything to a new harddrive and tch there was no problem. So it sounds like a permission problem. Should i edit any other files permissions other than usual .cgis?
  4. When I try to upload images or rebuild the site it logs me out. It lets me upload after logging in couple of times in the opened pop-up. I guess since both action opens a pop-up screen, it has to do something with that. movabletype's suggestion of mt.cfg's configuration is set correctly as " CGIPath http://www.domain.com/cgi-bin/" and all files under cgi-bin set to 755 Does anybody have idea?
  5. let me rephrase the question. If I park a domain name pointing the root, can I host that domain's e-mail at a different company?
  6. I have 4 domain names. 3 from godaddy and 1 from a specific registrar for .tr extension. I host one of them here and two of them for e-mail hosting at godaddy. I also want to use the one with .tr extension as an email domain at godaddy. But since the registrar claiming that they are not keeping mx and cname information godaddy is asking me to buy a separate hosting plan for that domain name. Can I work out something with my hosting plan from tch? I'm not planning to host a web site. I just need the mx and cname information to redirect to my email plan at godaddy. registrar's claim godaddy's requirement Does parking a domain name at TCH solve this problem? If not, can you please guide me? my registrar's mx policy really confused me. I tried to use zoneedit. You can edit mx and cname information but it doesn't have the godaddy's noted records.
  7. this is a photoblog and the 450MB is mainly pictures. Because of being a newbie I'm trying to understand what do I need to do. So I can take care of the website settings. Since all the links are set to www.mysite.com with total folders of cgi-bin, blog, archives there shouldn't be a problem. Assuming cgi-bin folder is provided by you. The database is set under C:\mysql\data\ as a separate folder and it is 1MB. I don't know how to back up. I thought I need cpanel but you are saying that I can use phpmyadmin. So my database is recoverable and I can transfer. Anyway I guess my case is nothing impossible. Your guys will help me if anything goes wrong.
  8. Hi, First of all I'm a newbie. I was hosting my site on my own computer with windows xp pro. Unfortunately my harddrive crashed but I managed to save the wwwroot and mysql folders. I installed mysql, php, perl on a new drive and copied the saved folders to test. Everything seems ok but I don't want to host anymore. The whole site is 450MB. Can you setup If I upload everything I have to you? I'm planning to get a yearly plan so will setup be free? Also do you have imagemagick installed which is a must for my movabletype.
