Xav, Sometimes you can not have your cake and eat it to. Sorry I can not help you. However, the step to dedicated is the next step you should take. If your looking for more bandwidth and disk space a dedicated is the only way to go. For $10.00 more for real its the way to go. Bill

2 more sold. We are down to 5 units left. I am so happy to know our clients see the awesome value we are passing on to them.

This is why we are running this special. For customers in the semi-dedicated slot that need more disk space and room. This upgrade is only costing an additional 10 dollars per month over the semi-dedicated offerings. Simply put this is a amazing deal. At this time we are not going to offer additional hdd space on semi-dedicated accounts. Perhaps in the future we will do so, but not at this time. Bill

Yes, in fact we have a special queue just for dedicated server clients. Everything is the same from a support stand point. Just make sure you indicate your a dedicated server client in each ticket. You can utilize level 1 support for any issues and you can also use the dedicated support for dedicated servers. Bill

We will install cPanel. Upgrade the kernels upon request. Make the initial move from your shared or semi-dedicated to your new dedicated server. Monitor your server. If your server breaks, we will fix it for you at no cost. If you want custom configs done to your server, the standard rates of $65 per hour will apply. Guys you have to remember these servers would sell for over $320 per month with all the add ons were giving out.
-
These are semi-manged. See my above reply Yes, your sites will go to a new IP. SSL certs will need to be reinstalled. We will cover this on the initial move for you, no cost. Any additional certs, regular fees apply. You can customize the server however you like, its your box. We will move up to 5 domains for you, after that a hourly fee will apply. The only fee you pay in $89.00 per month. You will have to pay the first month. Signup form shows $89.00

These servers are "semi-managed". We will install cPanel. Upgrade the kernels upon request. Make the initial move from your shared or semi-dedicated to your new dedicated server. Monitor your server. These servers are not fully managed. We have sold 3 since last night's posting thus only 7 remain. Thanks for looking

Each TotalChoice server includes: • CPanel Control Panel • Full remote backups. Your servers main drive(s) are fully backed up to our remote 6TB RAID array backup servers. We conduct incremental backups of your data every 12 hours, and present to you for full restore 28 incremental backups. Backups are conducted over a secondary gigabit network, thus the backups will not slow your public IP traffic nor does it count against your monthly bandwidth usage! • Restore backups from our backup control panel. This is fully integrated into cPanel and you can offer all your resold clients on the server the same. • 1GB uplink port and 10 usable IP’s • Remote APC Reboot. Full access to remote reboot for your server. • PRTG Graphing tools with remote login to allow tracking of bandwidth use. • 1 minute http monitoring by Hyperspin, alerts sent directly to the email of your choice. This even is being discussed in full detail here: http://www.totalchoicehosting.com/forums/i...showtopic=32010 -
As some of you are aware there were some issues last week with the network at the TCH Data Center. We were having servers fall off line for no apparent reasons. We at first assumed it was a bad switch as all the servers that were going off line were on the same rack and all hooked to the same aggregation switch. We replaced the switch with a brand new unit and all looked great for about 2 hours. The issue presented itself once again on the same rack of servers. At that point I should have researched further, but I simply assumed the issue was at the core router. So we swapped out the line card in our router and hoped this issue would go away. We looked good for several hours. The issue represented itself again, with random servers simply falling off the network. I knew at that point the issue was simply a configuration issue somewhere in our network. After running a few checks and watching network traffic the issue was resolved. Here is what was found. All of our servers run over two networks. We run a public network for all the public traffic to the servers, and then we run a separate network for our internal backups and such. During a routine server turn up, we mistakenly connected a backup link to our public network. This caused ARP issues across the network. Once the issue was identified we immediately corrected such and since have not had one second of downtime due to this issue. Things are looking great once again. Bill

I have asked Dick to forward this issue on to Vivek for review and response. They will follow up directly.
-
Bob, Your email should be flowing now. Please check and advise. Bill
-
That we can have done. I will ask our Data Center manager to put together a post of the name conversions. Bill

I love the starwars names on servers. I think it just add's something special to the servers. Sorry but at this time, I am not planning on changing the new scheme. I am glad your liking the new email filtering. Bill

I am working on a full disclosure on this event. For now, I will just say that this issue is fixed. You should now start seeing 99.9%+ uptime. I will post a link to my announcement here shortly. -
Most likley it is attempting to publish via http, and there are limits to the upload via that protocol.

Network Switch Replaced
Head Guru replied to TCH-James's topic in TCH Data Centers General Announcements
Just a quick note. The aggregation switch was replaced as Jesse stated and we have seen no further errors. Thanks -
Giving your cake and allowing you to eat it. It does in fact appear that we can set email handling options on a per domain basis. So Madman, if you want I can set your domain to forward tagged headers. I am off for the day at doctors appointments, just reply here and I will make the changes later when I am back. Bill
