I too had this wordpress problem, and I used the solution posted here (from urbangiraffe) - and it worked. However, after a day or two, my .htaccess file reverts back to the old version without the fix, and I have to do it all over again. Who does this, why, and is there a compromise workaround that works for both parties?

And now it's up - it's been doing this for days...

Hi- I have my own site on server88 (I think that's dantooine? Is there a master translation list somewhere?) and it's been intermittently up and down constantly over the past few days. It's incredibly frustrating. I don't run a business or anything like that, it's a personal site (so it's not an emergency or crucial) - I don't expect 100% uptime but if there's something going on I'd like there to be a post in the server forum or SOMETHING.
