Welcome to the forum, grachtdog. Does TCH offer telnet or ssh access to the server? No, sorry. ssh is disabled for security reasons. What OS do the web servers use? Linux Are there any spam filters or other anti-spam strategies used in conjunction with the webmail app? Spamassassin is included with all accounts. Anymore questions, feel free to ask.

Is this a newly installed coppermine? If so I would download a fresh copy and reinstall it. Apart from that, the only thing I can think of is to ask in their own forum and see if someone else had this problem. Addition/Edit... Also make sure you have the proper permissions.
