Welcome to the forums! <Echo of what Don said!>

Glad to help. Now that you know where you new "extended family" hides out, drop by the Introductions section and "formally" introduce yourself!

Did some digging and found a possible culprit: >document.write('<a h' + 'ref="' + 'mail' + 'to:' + 'hankins' + '@' + 'interplus' + '.' + 'net' + '?subject=ISDA Web site comments" >'); I removed the offending line and the page rendered just fine. Not claiming to be a coder here, but I believe the error has to do with the double quotes versus single quotes. I posted the snippet here hoping that one of the family members could help you out with more specifics. I would assume you're using this as a way to prevent the spam bots from crawling your site. As an alternative, you may want to take a look at http://automaticlabs.com/products/enkoderform/. All you do is fill in a few boxes and the site encodes your info. Then it's just a cut-and-paste into the HTML tab or view on FP. Hope this helps!

First, welcome to the family and forums. As Bruce suggested, try removing and reinstalling FP extensions via cpanel. Let us know what happens. (FWIW...I have FP 2000 on my laptop so I'll play around with the source code and see if I can spot anything.)

Here's a "How-to" that you may want to look over.
-
I'd go for it. As previously stated, setup nowadays is relatively painless!

I personally wouldn't go through the added expense of another cable modem. (IMHO...it's just one more thing the cable companies make you THINK you HAVE to have!) I'd simply purchase a wireless hub that also has "hardwire" connections for it. Then you can use either wireless or anything that requires a CAT-5 cable. There are several brands, models, and prices available.

Adding my $.02 worth here... Using Firefox 1.0.2 (with Zone Alarm), I get no popups or pop unders on any of the referenced 3 sites from bellringr.
-
FWIW...I have XP on my laptop and have no problem access any Cpanel, so I don't think it's an XP issue. Which then leave possibly a MacAfee issue. Have you IM'd HeadGuru yet?

As a suggestion, you might try clearing the cache in your browser. Sometimes that causes things to get a bit screwy.

I'll just celebrate all weekend!

Welcome to the forums! Use TCH-David's suggestion and you shouldn't lose any rankings. (I say that because nothing is 100% foolproof!)
-
Good question NightShyamalan. I'm sure our resident Linux guru TCH-Raul can provide us with some insight along with a few other more knowledgable family members. (Now you got ME curious too! )

Welcome Chris! Yep...the help desk is the way to go. (Those guys are AMAZING!) If you have any other problems, don't hesitate to ask your extended "family"!

First of all, welcome to the forums. No, there's not a whole lot you can do to TOTALLY stop spam. However, there are things you can do to minimize it. For example, one of the simplest things to do is to turn on Spam Assasin. If necessary, you can tweak the settings. Another it to get one of the "free" email addresses and use that for most correspondence. Then, give your primary email address only to people you absolutely trust. As I said, these are but a few of many different things you can try. Hope this helps!

I'm using ZoneAlarm Pro and have no problems access mine with the default settings and the Internet Zone set to "High". However, to add/change ports, (with the Pro version anyway), you'd open up the Zone Alarm, choose Firewall, select the "Main" tab, go to "Internet Zone Security" option, and click the "Custom" button. This is where you can add/change/delete specific ports. Hope this helps! And welcome to the forums!

Welcome to the forums & family! Also, the help desk is where to go to report any problem with your site.

Security Updates To Mozilla, Firefox & Thunderbird
stevevan replied to TCH-Thomas's topic in Software Talk
Security updates are ALWAYS a good thing! -
It may be an issue with an older version. All I have at the moment is my laptop (WinXP w/ SP2, IE ver 5.1) and all appears normal.
-
Welcome to the forums! Provide us with a little more info and I'm sure someone will come up with a solution.
-
What happens if you try using https instead of http? (It's a bit more of a secure way to access it anyway!)
-
Do you have a link so we can take a look?
-
Welcome to the family. If you have any questions after reading your welcome email, feel free to ask us!

Welcome to the forums Jaz. I think you'll find exactly what you're looking for with TCH. I've been involved with ISP's and web hosting for about 8-9 years now and TCH is the best I have ever seen. Sure there's downtime (what ISP doesn't have any downtime?), but it is very minimal and the tech's AND owner are usually all over it in a matter of minutes. (The preceding was a customer endorsement! )

I use squirrelmail to access mine using this URL saved as a bookmark: https://www.my_personal_domain_name.com/sqmail/src/login.php The easiest way to find the "shortcuts" would be to open up the email and save the URL as a bookmark. As far as removing the ones you don't use, I'll have to defer that to someone a little more knowledgable on the technical side than I.
