  4. I was referring to Don's statement. Personally, I'm very paranoid about connecting to the internet. I always make sure I'm using a decent firewall and antivirus program...and that the antivirus program has the latest updates. I can't begin to tell you how many people I talked to who complain that they had gotten a virus despite the fact that they had an antivirus program. When asked if they had updated the virus definitions, I almost ALWAYS hear "You're supposed to update that program?" So, yeah...that's where I'm paranoid.

  6. IMAP stands for Internet Message Access Protocol. IMAP allows an email program to access messages as if the messages were locally on your computer. For example, email stored on an IMAP server could be read from a desktop, a workstation at your office, or a portable device while traveling, without the need to transfer messages or files back and forth between systems. POP3 works best when you have only one computer, since it was designed to support messages that you have already "downloaded" to your computer and then deleted from the mail server. Bandwidth, I would think, depends upon the quantity and size of the email messages. I've found that the main difference between the two is personal preference for most people, depending mostly upon their needs.
  7. ABSOLUTELY!!! This is one instance where it pays to be paranoid!
  8. Welcome to the forums, Mish! One thing that I might mention is that since your old host is using CPanel, transfer to TCH should be very easy to do! Get with the help desk and they'll hook you right up!
  9. Reminds me of a programming course I took for college several years back. Spent the better part of two days pulling my hair out trying to figure out why the code wouldn't work. Finally, I had reached the deadline to turn the program in. So I printed out the code, brought it to class, and sitting there reviewing it before handing it to the professor, I noticed a missing semi-colon.

  13. Hello and welcome to the forums toyotadreams!
  14. First of all, welcome to the forums. With Ultimate Form Mail, there is a forum available on their website which has many solutions to issues that others have had. The program's creator also hangs out in that forum. He has personally answered issues (major issues!) that I had and got my email forms up and running.
  15. Welcome to the forums. I hope the answers provided by David take care of your questions. If you have any other questions on hosting with TCH, don't hesitate to ask!

  21. Welcome to the forums! The best advice I could give you would be to read through TCH's help pages, tutorials, and FAQ's (Don gave you the link). If you have questions after that, don't hesitate to post it here in the forums!
  22. Welcome to the forums! I know it's hard to wait for the propagation to occur, but be patient...it'll be worth the wait!
  23. Welcome to the forums! I think you'll be very happy in your choice with TCH.
