You can also use the include code that is provided right in the Lazarus admin panel to add the guestbook right into your site. So in effect it looks just like it.

And it already has security issues.

I have IE7. Which I only use if I am on a site that only allows certain parts to be accessed with IE only. 99.9% of the time I use FF. But when I do use IE7 so far no bugs. And yes it is a FF wannabe.

Personally I use this version of nuke, RavenNuke76 Version 2.02.02 Released which can be found at http://ravenphpscripts.com/ It has all the security features built in. The only draw back that I found with it was the nuke sentinal feature which is the security part was and early version. It was not buggy but it was very very picky. Another words way to aggressive. So I just updated the version of nuke sentinal. And no more hassles. Personally that is the only version of phpnuke I would ever consider useing. The others are just way to buggy and have security flaws. Even the new phpnuke version 8.0 is buggy with security flaws in it.

I am sure glad I use firefox instead of Internet Exploder. And Thunderbird as an email client.

I use Lazarus guestbook. Infact I still use his very first version which is 1.4 And currently it is up to version 1.6 . I get no regular spam at all. And maybe once every 3 or 4 months I may get comment spam. But i have it set so i have to approve comments first.

I think carbonize. Has it on the burner to make a script to be able to add entries from viper to Lazarus. But I am not real sure on this. You might want to go here and check it out and ask questions. Lazarus Forums

Ok I have a question about paths. I am trying to expermint with a xoops cms site on my pc. Whic is this http://localhost/xoop/ Now my mainfile.php file which also acts as a config file wants the correct path. The path to my xoop folder is this C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\xoop which is not correct for my mainfile.php How would I format that into the correct path. Below is the part of the mainfile.php code i am talking about. >// XOOPS Physical Path // Physical path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash // Example: define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\xoop'); define('XOOPS_ROOT_PATH', '/C:\Program Files\xampp\htdocs\xoop'); // XOOPS Virtual Path (URL) // Virtual path to your main XOOPS directory WITHOUT trailing slash // Example: define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://localhost/xoop'); define('XOOPS_URL', 'http://localhost/xoop');

Well I would like to thank the people who thought that upgrading to php 4.4.1 was a good idea. Now because of this. My phpnuke which btw is the newest patched version 7.9. Is getting alot of errors and bugs. I have posted about all this in various nuke help sites and the reply to most of them is get rid of php 4.4.1 and update again to PHP to 4.4.x-dev. Which i cannot do since I have no controll over this. Right now my only choice is to either wait it out and hope someone comes up with fixes that will work with php 4.4.1 or start all over again with a different portal system that will work with it. And I put alot of hard work and effort into my present site as it is.

Yes it is.

I was wondering why it seemed to now take forever for my site to load now.

You are correct it was for server managment. Better safe than sorry I guess.
