I have set horde to show 200 messages per page, so that I can scroll/scan easily. Spam Asssassin is doing a great job but I'm paranoid. then I can just check all and delete, makes it quite painless.

If you want to see some of the family sites there is a link from the front page to the Family Members Pages. =)

I am not sure about the coppermine issues, but for the cpanel theme issues please submit a ticket and that will get sorted for you. =)
-
Check out this thread and the other linked threads in there for information on achieving this. =)

Does Anyone Have Problems Uploading?
LisaJill replied to blix's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
Right click on one of the files that you can't overwrite - any of them should do, or check a few, and see what it says for the permissions. 'www' and 'public_html' are symlinks - they go to the same place, so it shouldn't matter, really. -

blix - if you right click and then go to 'chmod' - don't change anything, but does it say something like 644/666/755/7777? or does it say '0'? Or z) none of the above? -
Pop2blog Server Requirements, Does Tch Have Them?
LisaJill replied to Mav2u's topic in CPanel and Site Maintenance
*nods* You can check the configured PERL modules via cpanel, just for future reference. =) Just scroll down the left side and it will say Perl Modules: View installed modules - the view is a link. =) -

Not a worry, blix. Are you on a PC? Before I moved to Mac I was a big fan of SmartFTP which is free for personal and educational use. You can definitely check permissions in that and it has no problems overwriting files on TCH servers. =) You can find it at the SmartFTP website. There is also a discussion on the various ftp program favorites of our family in the software forum, somewhere, I believe. =) -
the "A List Part" article has step by step instructions in implementing it, but I haven't really worked with either option so beyond that I'm not able to give further instructions. But that site is usually fairly straightforward. =)

Have you checked the permissions on those files? Or tried another ftp program? I've never even heard of captain ftp - not that Ii'm a library of ftp programs, but hey. =) Also, cross posting really isn't necessary, we read all of the posts and respond as possible, so I'm goign to merge your topics. -
I respectfully disagree. Wordpress causes a lot of people problems because of the way the templates are all php - it's a bit of a geek toy. And the people on the forums tend to be a bit out there. Textpattern takes about 5 minutes to set up and is very easy. But anyway - you should play around, install all of them if you want, and stick with whatever feels right to you.

Email Pictures From Phone To Website Script? How?
LisaJill replied to Mav2u's topic in Scripting Talk
A few blogging packages do this (expressionengine and wordpress) and there may be other scripts for it - it's generally called "moblogging" (mobile blogging) - you may check hotscripts.com and find some neat stuff there. -
Those systems may also be overkill for what you want. Blogging s ystems allow you to post articles and have links to them. Some of the popular ones are MovableType, Pmachine and ExpressionEngine, textpattern and wordpress amongst many others. of the above textpattern, wordpress and pmachine and mt have free versions. for something very simple textpattern is very elegant and won't steer you wrong. but have a look at the feature sets and see if something there is what you're after.

Ah, you didn't link to it that I saw. I went and searched google - for ease of use for those interesed, this seems to be the hack that is being referred to.
-
The 'hack' is what I linked to above, for the curious. =)

cross browser transparency is a real pain in the tookas. here is some information from a list apart on how to accomplish this with pngs....

*grins* it's harder at a zoo because generally there are a lot more people around. This is a private ranch and he's been there for a long time so ... plus - I'm a *great* listener, along with a huge desire not to lose any fingers or other things.
-
No, this is not a zoo. This is owned by someone who used to have several acts featuring the tigers (and some lions that have passed on). There are also two rescued tigers here (hrm, may be more, actually) and the person who I'm siting - his new house is located a few feet from it. =) He works with the tigers (has been at various places for several years) constantly. I could not get this close to these guys at a zoo.... =) Especially not at feeding time.

Nevermind - trackbacked your latest post - about the English language. =)
-
You don't need to be using MT to trackback - give me a url to a post and I'll send ya a trackback. Note: you can trackback your own posts, too... for testing if you wanted to. =)

Many community colleges offer online classes; as do many major universities. University of Phoenix is a big online offering. =)
-
Just to add - what has been suggested before is you ftp up the file and when you submit a ticket, let them know the location/name of the file to be imported - then the techs can run it locally so that there are no timeout issues. =)
-
Have you looked at your local colleges course listing? Communitiy colleges especially offer many courses like this. I can assure you that there is no gap in the training for this type of writing, though. It's out there in abundance. =)

It does look like his inbox is full - no more space left. I'd suggest another contact method. =)

The two software packages that you are looking at are for full web-hosting automaton. My gut feeling is that these are not appropriate to use (they are akin to the cpanel that you have access to). If all you want is to allow people to upload files and to have a quota, you could find a simple php script at hotscripts.com. Note, I'm a mod not staff and the final say on the the appropriateness of these scripts. I'd suggest submitting a ticket to see what they say.
