I've never done video but I imagine it's similar to streaming audio. I have audio on 2 sites. Best example I have of doing it with mp3 and RealAudio are at http://naugatuckarts.org/ Navigate to Community Choir>>Listen to Choir, If that's what you need I'll be happy to help. Meantime I'll fiddle with video.

All this and Monty Python too? Gotta love it

Tried the 'Shields Up'. I am secure, closed and stealth. I only have a LinkSys router for 3 PCs. Stealth Boxturt - I like that

Thanks Ian. That's something to look into and I suspect you may be correct. It did the same thing last night too.

Excellent Mr Turtle! Running with the pack now... .....a pack of turtles? Herd of turtles? (of course I've heard of turtles) I hope you'll give Slo-Poke a piece of the action too! WTG!

I've no experience with it and like my bretheren turtle friend above me would normally say yes. I've heard pros and cons to both products, but you're always going to, right? You have a couple weeks, think on it. Oscar is the Tiger (if I recall)?? Hi !

I guess all I can do is keep tinkering. I really don't know why it stopped after that handful of files. I have indexed manually and it was more or less correctso it shouldn't have anything to do with number of files either (+16,500). If I get an invitation to PM someone I will * wink*wink*nudge*nudge* Thanks

Well, here's the 'letting you know' part. Something happened when the job ran but I think it stopped. Here's what cron-daemon mailed me: Checking the number of files indexed I see it hasn't changed and if it had run all the way the number reflected would certainly be different. (that "refresh" tag bugs me a bit and I don't know where it came from.) Any thoughts? This is driving me nuts Head Bash

Go for it! I hope it turns out the best for you.

Thank you Jack for the suggestion and the snippet. That did work, I received the emails. So I have set up a cron job to index the site for 3am - using the standard setting. I'll let you know! Thanks.
-
That is of course a very good suggestion. I'm a little embarassed to say I wouldn't know a simple php mail script if it jumped out and bit my nose. I'll see what I can figure out Thank you. Ok, i was able to get something with a javascript. Got the following: Guess that means I can't run cron in a protected folder?

I hate to ask again... The admin directory is protected, at the insistance of the script. Is that why the crontab didn't run? Thanks, ty

I missed making an 8:15 post. Perhaps I will make 9:15. It's 4 days til June 15

Maybe we should shoot for page 15!!

You missed the ' i ' in cgi-bin. Otherwise that looks correct. I believe Google does look for and respect the robots tag as well as robots.txt file. Not all do. Evil little buggers that they are........ ty

Hmmm, I set it to run crontab last night (using line from first post) and it seems not to have worked. I imagine I was to receive an email? Settings were : That's 3am every Monday, right? That directory is protected, at the insistance of the script. Is that why the crontab didn't run? Thanks -ty And on a side note - when I manually indexed the site it came up about 2000 records short. Maybe I just haven't configured it correctly. Blea. Head Bash

Completely overlooked that part because I do my includes differently but I do believe KW is correct. -Ty
