Nat, That wouldn't do any good if you did. For security reasons shell has been disabled from use by end users. You can chmod from most FTP programs though and as long as those directories are in your public_html directory, you "may" be able to do it that way.

You would have to open a ticket to see if it can be enabled on that server. You "may" also be able to enable it in your .htaccess file but I am not too familiar with it to say for sure.

OK, the official response is that you do NOT need an actual account for the forwarder to work. While I am not sure who informed you of this and I do not want it posted in the forums. You might want to PM it to TCH-Dick so the tech can be informed. While it is rare, we do make mistakes in our responses, and me more so than others. Is the issue something we can assist with here in the forums? If not, you might want to re-open it and refer to this thread to get proper resolution.

Stan, welcome to the forums. Might be a good idea to look into something else. There are just some programs that are not "shared hosting" friendly.

Well, I have not used it but a quick Google on "ezpublish skins" gives a few results. I would say that with a tad of work it is possible. Let see if we have any family members that have tried this though and see how in depth it might be.

Not sure Paulo. I will have a look when I get home this evening and see if I can find anything. I think I saw something like that at NukeCops though.

I may be confused here, but unless something has changed, it should work with no account and just the forwarder passing the data to a valid account. I will wait though to make sure I am not missing something. Hang tight for a few for a complete answer.
